The pledge of allegiance to the flag, or anthem, is for devil worshippers. You cannot serve objects, symbols, or images, in the likeness of anything in heaven above, or in the likeness of anything in the earth below (Exodus 20: 3-5, and (Deuteronomy 4: 15-19.
The US made images, in the likeness of the stars of heaven, and set the images in the flag, to serve them.
The idol worshippers of the US are worshipping the image of the star spangled of heaven, through the pledge of allegiance to the flag or anthem.
Israel is worshipping the image of the star remphan of heaven (Acts 7: 43.
Canada is worshipping the image of the leaf of the maple tree of the earth.
Mexico is worshipping the image of the eagle of the earth.
Japan is worshipping the image of the sun of heaven.
The idols of the nations are high and lifted up on a flag pole, and the blind cannot see them, because of their unbelief the idols are hid from them.
The truth behind the pledge of allegiance to the flag or anthem, is for worshipping idols.

Lol, I'm loving everyone's K-12 memories of daily 'morning announcements' on this video! In Texas, we were required to recite the Texas Pledge too (big surprise - TX, right, so I still have trouble stopping myself after. and justice for all. Without automatically continuing on with, Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible. And when I say 'require, ' I mean REQUIRE. Even though about 1/4 of my classmates were not even American citizens (I'm from an international oil-industry suburb of Houston.

My schools growing up said it, but you never were required to, hell a lot of my teachers didn't want to so they just skipped that part of the day which honestly was nice. I was there to learn, not do that. That being said I can see why, after years of things that people could find that offensive, but the beautiful thing about freedom of speech is we can agree to disagree on that type of thing. Nobody should be forced to say or do anything they do not want to, even if it is deemed patriotic.

In 2nd grade I saw that a Jehovah's witness student didn't have to say the pledge. I was and am a Y? child. Why doesn't he have to say it? Why do I? Why do any of us? Why am I in time-out just for asking questions? Why I am being sent to the principal's office? Why am I being beat by my Dad for just asking questions? Why was I ever told to ask why if I can't ever get an answer?
And then I bet they wondered why I refused to say it ever again.

OK as a relatively older person I gotta tell you I didn't realize there was no Richard Stands in the Pledge of allegiance and I had to get real about that realizing it at age 38. I pledged allegiance to the flag for which it stands. Not Richard Stands. It's ok to explain stuff to kids rather than just making them do it. I would ask Mommy who is Richard Stands, but nobody answered.

Take out the under god since government in not allowed to promote any religion based on the first amendment. But I dont see anything wrong with then saying it. Teaching patriotism is good. But at the same time dont lie about our dark side of the past as well as today but show how we have grown and gotten closer to the great ideals of a nation of equality

Its basically an act of worship to an idol that represents the government. When you look at the motives that are to indoctrinate small impressionable children, no I dont think its appropriate. For adults who choose to, then fine.
I find it repulsive. Especially when its forced upon people

I did it in elementary school (2004-11) it stopped in middle school and my first two years of high school(2011-2015) then in the last two years we did it again(2015-2017. During high school I sat down when we had to do it. Some teachers didn't like it but they did not write me up.

We had the Pledge and patriotic songs jammed down our throats in school throughout the 1950s and early 60s. They tried to mold us kids and it worked with most. The rest of us saw through the lies and keep our hands off our hearts.

I will continue to say this famous motto because unlike the radical-hating socialist Democratic cult that is now the new Democratic Party, I love this country and I will not surrender to the woke-destructive far-left Democrats ever!

Children don't know the effect that the mandatory daily recitation of something, has on their psyche. By the time that people decide what world view they want to have, indoctrination via reciting the pledge is of little to no use.

Ever since high school, I refuse to stand for the pledge. I mean, it's a _pledge. _ of _allegiance. _ That alone gives me cultish vibes, something you see in dictatorships & nationalist nations and it's frankly unsettling.

Wait so Francis Bellamy was a Proto-Nazbol? I would be surprised if I werent an American with a conscientious understanding of this countries history. Its probably the most damned American thing Ive ever heard.

My son had to prove under god wasnt in the original version to his 9th grade Social studies teacher last week. Luckily I had a pamphlet, with the original version, that came in an old WWII war plane puzzle.

NO DOUBT we should all say the pledge of allegiance. The purpose is to unify us as a nation. Every child should say the pledge every day. It was the first thing we did every morning in elementary school.

I work in a school. We haven't recited the pledge in about 4 years. We are too busy dealing with childhood trauma, fights, depression, mental illness, horrible home lives, and sprinkling in some learning

I remember my senior year I didn't stand for the pledge of the allegiance because it was because I felt like it was against the constitution to force people to pledge to the flag lol.

This is a theory, you know. The producers needed a story line. You make similar arguments about any traditions. It just so happens to be fashionable to bash America these days.

My mother said that growing up in the Soviet Union, people would talk about how the evil American empire would indoctrinate the children by having the recite the pledge every day.
