If you've ever been to the restaurant Medieval Times or eaten at a Renaissance Faire, then you've been horribly misled about medieval diets. The real story of medieval foods and cooking is actually simultaneously a lot more disgusting and a lot more boring, depending on who was doing the eating

I love Big Macs! I prefer Burger King though. Cooking with an open flame is heaps better, at least I reckon so. Im thinking like this; a burger cooked in the kitchen in a pan, or a burger cooked outside on the grill? I reckon the grill by far, but thats me. We need a Big MacKing. Cooked like hungry jacks or Burger King depending on where you live. With MacDonalds sauces. A match made in heaven! Like peanut butter and jelly, Mallow cups, Reeces PB cups, steak and worstishire sauce, ( Sorry I cant spell Worcestershire) and French Fries and salt. To name a few. Dang it! Now Im hungry for a Big Mac and a whopper with cheese! And the closest is a 45 minute drive one way! Sometimes living in the quiet of the countryside sucks.

lobster was considered a low class food for once upon a time because of it being so plentiful and was served to the prisoners and about like that until it was able to go up an be like the suckling pig and be served as a ritzy food for people with money. that would be believable with sonic the hedgehog and that he would be eaten in one area of the world because of the fact guinea pigs would be eaten like that as well in another part of the world

Many whole foods that we have today are actually much more calorie dense than their ancient and Middle Age predecessors. Farmers selectively breeding the most nutritious stock of crops played a huge role in the shift from subsistence agriculture to finer crafts. So people hundreds/thousands of years ago probably required more food to get the same amount of energy.

Something you forgot to mention(probably not obvious to you as an american) is that these 3 pounds of bread were not the sort of sugary white bread that you eat in the US, but rather dark, heavy breads with full grains, lots of fiber and stuff like that. White bread was a privilegue for the very rich.

The medieval fair I went to actually served a stew (with some meat) in a big roll, basically a small bread as the major food to be had (it was really good. I'm guessing that's actually fairly accurate?

The last comment was the best XD just make sure you work 12 h per day six days a week. Maybe they were healthier with exercise but they were probably losing teeth and hair with a bread diet.

My husband does unsweetened vanilla almond milk with like 2 table spoons of splenda.
It's a great treat for a diet.
