Of all the drinks at bars, the legal types of coffee and tea. esp tea. anyone know a tea that's sedative/calming/painkilling effects?
Farther from chamomile/valerian root and closer to poppy tea or opm wlne. help pls?
P. S. I'm aware of kratom tea but spent 2 days reading up on what works, types etc but just couldn't find any results that were both, good and avail at my local store.
What type and brand and form do u use? How do u prepare it? Tyvm =]

Imagine a world without booze
What, you mean no alcoholics? No drunken dipshits causing problems every weekend? No people blowing their weekly pay check on liquid poison? Less people getting drunk and abusing their partner or children? Less alcohol induced fatal accidents? Less strain on governmental or personal funds clearing up the long list of disasters this shit leaves behind?
Sounds pretty good to me.

I'm glad to see cider is finally coming back. It is a wonderful festive departure from beer and mixed drinks. Exclusive cider bars in places like Chicago were commonplace prepandemic. Like many businesses, some of them were forced to close down. Hopefully they will come back.

Whats the punch actually called from the British sailors? The one that fought off scurvy
In my dnd campaign theres gonna be quite a bit of sailing. At least 3 days to and from the main plot line so this drink would be a lovely thematic touch dont you think?

That opening line is very scary sounding.
Taxes and corn can grow everywhere just about in the US(mainland, don't anyone go fullretard and mention growing corn around the arctic circle in Alaska) I would bet is partly the reasons it got so popular.

Its hard to get a good grasp on reality back then but from what Ive read alcoholism and drunkenness was widely tolerated by society before prohibition. Maybe prohibition recalibrated societys acceptance of responsible drinking

I'm not surprised but I wasn't ready to see this either lol. Tequila is often made with a worm. what other off-putting historical ingredient is there?

What a coincidence that so many men died in WW1 and women got the right to vote that we end up with prohibition. Prohibition is a good example where the 51% mob majority can be very wrong.

The good stuff that came from prohibition is the new alcohol and new ways to consume it. Moonshine is still a southern cultural staple, and we take the rats out these days.

Yea, many great things happened due to Prohibition. Organized crime handled the liquor, later to bring in Pot, and Cocaine. Hell yea! Party time!

Can you do an Episode on the Spirt Racilla. It has an interesting history. It has barely started mainstream Sakes in 2008, Because of it's history.

this video leaves out the popularity of applejack (apple brandy) in the US. For decades it was the most popular alcoholic beverage in the country

One thing that (supposedly) came out of Prohibition was the beginnings of NASCAR, as moonshiners began racing their cars for fun.

My question is: Was life expectancy 40 because they drank so much or did they drink so much because they could only live to 40?

And yet Mescalin and Psilocybin remain illegal. Anyone ever suffer domestic violence or murder from these two substances?

Would there have been more independent brewers if Prohibition hadn't happened? Would America have had better booze?

Please tell me I'm not the only person who thinks that painting of Paul Revere makes him look a bit like Jack Black.
