Its a pizza. Its a pocket. Its a sandwich its Trapizzino, a food that sounds like a gimmick but is actually an earnest (and popular) street food in Rome. Chef Stefano Callegari, a reputable pizzaiolo in Italy, invented it in 2008 after seeking a way to eat classic Roman dishes on the go. It was a hit, and the restaurant quickly grew into a mini-chain

Youtubers, if you don't like Serena's videos then don't watch them. There are many of us who do. I watch sports tv, and if I don't like a particular host, I choose to watch another one. If you like someone else in Eater like Lucas, then go watch Dining on a Dime. Each host and program is different. Watch those hosts who you like instead of saying just get rid of them. Some of you keep watching Serena's videos and continue to provide, in some cases, non constructive criticism. Well apparently you like her if you continue to watch her videos.

This has nothing to do with pizza. The bread may be a (unusually thick) pizza bianca style bread, but this is a pocket-style sandwich containing Italian saucy fillings that are not traditional on pizza. It's misleading to pitch it as a pizza pocket. It looks delicious, though. If I go by a location, I plan to stop and try one. Pretty good food photography here. Good lighting helped.

People are honestly being too harsh, the chick is doing fine, like she's not the best but she isn't as bad as people are making her out to be. But my problem is that I don't see it as a pizza at all, looks more like a ciabatta hollowed out to put in some stews, which isn't a bad thing, just why call/associate it with pizza? Whoever thought of that should be slapped upside the head.

Is this really popular with Roman locals? or is it selling well with the huge tourist trade the city enjoys? I had great pizza in a Rome suburb, not touristic area, found the place by accident but otherwise food in centre seemed often rather forgettable. Just my observation.

Those things look soooooo good. All of them, especially the oxtail! This guy needs to open one of his restaurants in Chicago. Like in Logan square where there are alot of Millennials. He would do very well! Man, I could so taste one of those with a beer down by the lake: )

pretty good description from the presenter. but man, that pocket pizza. is that expensive or what? granted, I'm using a Third World Country street food price comparison, so yeah. But really, with 6 bucks, I can get pretty decent street food for 4-6 people here!

Eater! You are obviously not listening. We do not want Serena Dai on anymore. It's clear. Please listen to your consumer. Stop shoving her down our throats. And please don't send her to Italian restaurants!

Looks so good! I have to try this place now! I like how Serena doesn't over exaggerate her food adjectives, like many other food stars. It's so refreshing to see this new take on food shows!

Man, that doesn't seem like it'd be very easy to eat while walking down the street at all. unless you're looking for globs of sauce and cheese to be all over the front of your shirt.
