i dunno why- but this lucas guy is so amiable. i just saw one video of his randomly and i m like hooked. keep up the good work. the thing i like about him is he is always respectful, i mean at the end of the day- ur eating peoples food- in their livelihoods, and what u say can affect their livlihoods, and he might go to the dingiest little restrautnwa t but is always rally really cool, never condescending, never afraid to mingle- a true man of the people. my kind of guy. he really takes the pretentiousness out of foodieism- which has run rampant over the industry of late. EG. the habit of describing everything in threes- that s a sign of pretentious foodies- they ll go it tastes crunchy, sumptuous, flaky, with a hint of flavours that are smokey, charred, barbecuey. arrrrghhhh. drives me mad.

Encino isn't even close to the worst place in the valley. The bad parts of the valley that gets rubbed into the dirt is San Fernando, Van Nuys, Panorama City and Paicoma are all complete shit holes.

Thx for touting 818 eats. Batter Fish is awesome and there are SO many great restaurants - cheap and otherwise. Anyone who hates on the Valley is missing out.
