The Enormous Italian Sandwich You Have To Eat In San Francisco Dining on a Dime

No visit to or from the San Francisco airport is complete (in the opinion of Dining on a Dime host Lucas Peterson) without a trip to Little Lucca Specialty Sandwich Shop in South San Francisco, affectionately known as Little Luccas. An unassuming storefront, the shop has become famous for its cheap and overstuffed deli sandwiches, filled with various Italian meats like prosciutto, capocollo, and salami; cheeses; and of course, their special garlic sauce. Lines out the door are common, and ordering ahead is always a pro move

No wonder no one is fat in America! This amount of food puts you off eating and I mean that truthfully. I prefer the japanese idea of cooking Kodawari or striving for perfection. This amount of food puts me off, I suppose doggy bags for the win, another awful American expression. Did you feed it to your dog no, your the dog. I go from one Eater episode to this.

First of all I grew up on little Lucca sandwiches they did not used to weigh their meat now it seems like it's a lot of bread and filler sandwich chips and soda will run you about 12 to 15 this is not to say that I would not stop by because I still like that sandwich it's better than Subway

This is a Nor-Cal weirdly Italian inspired weirdly I don't know inspired sandwich. As someone who lives in NorCal, these types of Sandwiches are the shit. Their is a place called Mr. Pickles that does a similar thing and it's awesome. I'm just imagining how good those sandwiches are

It's 2017, who doesn't know what provolone and mortadella is? Thank god I lived in a multi-cultured city like Toronto. I can't imagine living my life knowing the same things and doing the same things all day long.

I don't know about that microwave man, I use one to heat up my hot pockets but it'll be biased to knock this place for it especially if the sandwiches are good. It's just hard to over look chef microwave.

I've tried nibbles of almost all the sandwiches over the years, Amazing! I get a salad with a couple tubs of Garlic Sauce as dressing, mostly because I've seen co workers fall asleep from the food Coma.

Little Lucca is a great sandwich place with the usual line out the door on most days, but I wonder if Lucas tried the Kryptonite Sandwich at Ike's because that one is even bigger and so ridiculously good?
