Thank you for showcasing the best thing about Australia, which is that you can get the best of almost any kind of food from anywhere in the world there, served and run by hardworking people who're making better lives for themselves and everyone else. Unfortunately, there are growing numbers of people who want to see this all go away. So-called moderate conservatives and literal Nazis who parrot USA talking points and want to tear down immigrant communities just for being immigrants (despite the fact these people are all descended from immigrants themselves) while citing fake news about how much crime and burden on the social system they bring, but really is often just a shallow mask for white supremacy.
It was sad seeing tens of thousands of my countrymen marching in the streets of all major cities just a few weeks ago demanding the mass deportation and barring of immigrants in the name of saving Australia. Many non-white immigrants, even those who've been in the country for generations, no longer feel safe in Australia, worrying that they might be violently confronted by right-wing nationalists. Ethnic food like this is the refuge for most of us right-thinking, morally decent people. We treasure it, not just for its quality and diversity, but what being able to have it means: that we aren't a regressive, morally bankrupt, backwards society, for now.

First restaurant he visited Nua Lao Thai is my fav place for Thai food in Sydney because I love Issan food as it reminds me of my mums cooking (she’s from north eastern Thailand. I always get the larb dib and curries with sticky rice and som tum when I visit.
I was also searching for another fav dish I love kanom jeen and the first place I found it at was Caysorn Thai very yum.
Thanks for showing me where to get some great food around because I’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of places to try in Thai town I don’t know where to start. I’ve always wanted to see good food review tour vids and I am so thankful to Mark for visiting and sharing this because I think there’s no one better to make this content than Mark when it comes to these vids cant wait to try every dish and all these places

Hey Mark, thank you for your series. I love it, and tune in regularly. It is great to have an outsider input into what constitutes good Thai food in Sydney. Thank you for your enjoyably good research for everyone’s benefit. We will take notes. Out of curiosity, what do you think of the inclusion of carrot or broccoli in some of the Thai food you consumed in Sydney Keep up the great work, you are a culinary champion, crossing borders and broadening your horizons for everyone’s benefit.

Sorry and forgive me, but everyone is such a suKuP here. I think people need to give and honest opinion in order for the show to grow. You can’t grow if everyone is telling you you’re great with everything you do.
For me I think he should show and give his opinion or show things he doesn’t like. Every Single Video with each Bite, he’s in heaven.
For the reason I prefer BestEver food review. Honest reaction and opinions

Thank you for visiting Sydney and so glad you enjoyed your Thai food adventure here. Next time you visit Sydney, I recommend you try this authentic Thai restaurant located in Revesby, it's called 'Ran Proad'. Their Pad Prik Khing with Crispy Pork Belly so definitely worth the try. It's so flavoursome and has the perfect amount of spice to it.

I'm so happy to see so many of these authentic Thai restaurants in Haymarket have survived the lean years, when Thai cuisine was sweetened and made bland for Anglo palates, and are now getting their due and appreciation. Caysorn Thai, Chat Thai and Porkfat are the ones I have been to, but will definitely be checking out the others now!

didn't know we had a thai town in sydney. I used to live one street over around 2002-2004 and you can see the area has developed a lot in that time. I'll go down and check out their curries next time I'm down there. Thai curries are a good alternative to indian Definitely going to go to pork fat, penang curry is my favorite thai food

Yeah she summed it up perfectly about typical Australians at 2: 23, we like trying new things but don't get too carried away, we don't like it too full on or that exotic, throwing in stuff like bile, blood, fish innards OMG dear Lord no, no, no you'll just repulse us! We prefer more the classics and to keep it simple
reply

You really made that owners day. She knew you knew your Thai food and gave you a feast! I can't believe she used bile! Straight from the motherland haha. She's doing it right. Thanks for making her day, Mark: ) It made me sad when she said her customers are confused about the cuisine, not Mark!

Ive spent a lot of time in my years traveling across Thailand and I hate to say, short of a few villages, restaurants and home cooked meals some places here in Sydney still make it better. You choose some of the best but there are some even better places out in the suburbs also.

I love your videos-my girlfriend & I are regulars in Sydney's Thai town-our Favorite restaurant you didn't visit-its called Thainatown -there Tom Saap & Duck Larb are my favorites but we will now visit the places you visited, we will be at your restaurant in Bangkok in January

Off course it’s better than Thailand. The produce is far more fresh and hygienic. Inspectors will warn you then shut you down if you don’t act
It’s also better because produce is available all year round from Cole’s and Woolworths

I love eating Thai food when I travel abroad, especially in big cities. When it tastes good, it tastes really good because some ingredients are better than in Thailand, especially meat.
reply

Thai Town in Sydney is as close as you can get to Thailand without visiting Thailand. Spice I Am is my favourite restaurant - amazing food and friendly people.
reply

Visited Sydney last year, and was surprised to see their Thai restaurants crowded. Looking at the food and portions here, I can understand why they're so popular
