Watch more from Bangkok food tour: Best of Bangkok food tour with The Hungry Tourist: During the Best of Bangkok Food Tour with The Hungry Tourist and Puppup one day for lunch we drove out to Kui Mong, a legendary restaurant that is the original restaurant in Thailand serving deep fried river shrimp (prawns. In order to get the largest size, Puppup had to actually call the restaurant to order them one month in advance. If you just walk in you can get 400 or 600 gram shrimp probably, but the 800 gram single shrimp are hard to come by these days in Thailand. Kui Mong ) is very well known among Thais, mainly because most restaurant grill their river shrimp, but Kui Mong ) is the first to deep fry them, and serve them in a ridiculously delicious oily shrimp sauce. The sauce is one of the greatest things youll ever taste on rice, combined with more chili garlic sauce and an alternating bite of succulent river shrimp. They owners family are very nice, but unfortunately since its such a secret recipe, we werent able to see the cooking - so thats why this is just a short extra Thai food video - only showing the massive deep fried Thai river shrimp and eating them. Price - 2, 000 THB (63. 44, per 800 grams shrimp Kui Mong ) Address: Khok Khram, Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri 72150, Thailand (Google map: People featured in this video: David (The Hungry Tourist): Puppup: Abram: Sinan: this video. When you cover it in so much dried chilli, you lose the subtle flavours, Mark always swamps everything in Chilli, so listening to a food reviewer who can only smell food (thankfully he can't add chilli to the smell) then it ruins the review. I hate to say it but his reviews are very one dimensional, literally no description of the subtle flavours and complexities of the dish. I've been married to a Thai for over 16 years and have to say, unless it's insanely spicy or over marinated, your taste buds lose their intricate abilities, and that's exactly what Marks reviews keep demonstrating.

Everytime I try watching mark wiens and every time i feel disgusted. This man's taste buds are all numb which is why he needs excess chillies. He can't tolerate anything sweet either which is another giveaway that his taste buds have gone for a toss. It's such a pity. Mikey Chen is doing pretty bad these days, mark wiens has no sense of taste. Who else to watch

I truly believe that there is a cultural and ancestral lineage between the southeast/east regions of Asia and the southern/southeast region of the United States we eat a lot of the same styles of foods During the ghengis khan era many East Asians fled to the Americas and they intermixed with the original people there and they shared culture.

I read a post on one of your videos and the guy was very critical of the way you eat and I thought he was being mean but its like you eat fast and stuff your mouth now. I dont recall seeing you eat quite the way you do now. What happened? It would make someone not want to eat around you.
