Hawaii's Best Ice Cream Is Sourced Straight From The Islands - Family Food

Sage Creamery on O'ahu in Hawaii uses their locally sourced ingredients to tell the story of the island they call home. They make all types of high-end ice cream; their flavors range from classic vanilla to banana lumpia and adobo ice cream. It's a labor of love, and also the love story of Zach and Courtney Villanueva, who were high school sweethearts before getting married and starting Sage Creamery in 2020. Their journey followed them from a garage to farmer's markets to a food truck and now a brick and mortar. The couple sources their ingredients throughout the islands, and in this episode, Zach stops by some of their trusted vendors; Laie Vanilla Company for fresh vanilla, Diamond Head Market & Grill for specialty crumbles, and to ChadLou's Coffee Roasters for coffee. It's good ice cream but very pricey. -$7 for 1 scoop is not really worth it for me, but that's also because when I want ice cream, I'm really only looking for the cool creamy and not overly sweet not the fancy favors. I'd recommend that you guys sponsor with a restaurant who would serve your ice cream for dessert menu. That would really get people wondering

Lived in Hawaii for 3 years just moved back to San Diego last august. He had the best ice cream there were always at farmers markets. Also every company he uses make some the best locally grown and locally made food products in Hawaii. That’s what I missed the most the locally grown and locally made food in Hawaii is the best I was so healthy.

We likely won't get back to O'ahu any time soon, if ever. Is there anyone in the SF Bay Area carrying your icecreams We used to order from a wonderful company in Washington state. They aren't in business anymore. hope to taste your vanilla as we have always known to
judge ice cream by the vanilla.

Hawiian like the Natives rolled over let themselves be conquered. Now all you hear about them is them crying about their traditional ways and crap. As if it wasnt for the US They would still be living in teepees made out of leaves and throwing coconuts at each other

It’s too bad they didn’t make it into Ward Village. There are dozens of kids playing at the park next door, every day - no way parents would be able to pull them from Sage Creamery. I’m guessing that Howard Hughes charged too much rent.

This is the kind of positivity we need right now. Most people just want to live, love, and chill with some good food and desert in a nice neighborhood with the people they love.

I'm ashamed to say I never knew about their ice cream, but I will go and support them because they seem like great people and to honor the brother who passed away.

I'm all for expressing taste verbally but to say that because a vanilla pod is grown in Hawaii, it has a hint of mango in it. Absolutely no
