Why Japan is Shrinking Fast
video description
Liberal principles of individual choice, female empowerment, and destruction of patriarchy create a society of people who have no family to take care of them in their old age.
The liberal feminist solution to this problem is to create more welfare programs. What this means is that they want the elderly to live alone in what are essentially pods, their only human interaction being with -care- takers to check if theyre still alive once a week.
Let me put it like this. The only human solution is for the elderly to be surrounded by loving family in their old age. The only way to get that is patriarchy, gender roles, and other limitations on individual freedom. But the liberal mind cannot allow any of that. So the elderly will continue to suffer and liberal feminists and modernists will continue to pretend like they care about humanity.

The United States of America is having a semi-similar crisis, but we have an advantage Japan almost doesn't allow: immigration. While there are a multitude of reasons why America can get shit-talked for its immigration policy. I don't deny any of them their validity. At the end of the day though we do increase our population a lot while few native-born Americans are being born. I have never had kids, nor opted for them. But my 2. 1 negative birthrate can be counted, people have come here who are taking the place of my non-babies. And I am quite fine with that. Most of my grandparents, 3/4, were immigrants and they also received a lot of hate. None of those fears came to be. My grandmother on my dad's side had I think nine kids, plus me as a grandbaby, and we've all been happy contributors to civilization since. My subtle, pro-immigration rant. Let them come over and consume us. I could use more melanin in my genetics.

Maybe people aren't immigrating because of the poor work life balance, low salaries and higher costs of living. IMO it's an entrepreneurship problem. There aren't young risk takers building new companies to compete globally attracting people. What Japan needs is risk and risk takers, which is inherently counter cultural.
Also, for immigration to truly work you need 1. A surplus of high quality, high paying jobs which Japan doesn't have 2. some competitive edge or reason to move to Japan 3. Ease of immigration, Japan isn't an English speaking country and culturally there are a lot of things to learn if you move there. It's not an easy move and getting integrated into society takes times. Japan's fighting an uphill battle, probably in which they are mostly blind to.

Fs should Please stop parasiting. Make your own. No one stopped you. No one oppressed you. No one ever did. It is you who couldn't do it. Stop barging into established male spaces then shriek on about how you are the victim when we are in the same room to get this favor and that. Stop welfare and affirmative action. -
Metoo, gender paygab, glass ceiling, Period vacation. Do all you want on your own space instead of nagging at men to do it for you. Welfare yourselves with your own taxes only. Gender segregation just like the old days. -
You can only have rights to the level of responsibility you take. Otherwise it is parasitism and you end up leeching at others who are responsible.

So basically Japan peaked as a modern civilization and shows what we're all doing by overworking and underpaying is not sustainable.
The answer is immigration, but in my country, Canada, this is grossly overcompensated resulting in not enough housing, and native Canadians can't find suitable work for their good educations.
The reason Canada has overcompensated is because the govt gets 3x-5x tuition payed to them per immigrant (from India. So basically a greedy Quebec Sicophant profiting at the expense of the Canadian people, destroying the country. A Quebecer loyalist's wet dream.
I applaud japan for sticking to its values.

It's a Ponzi scheme which robs the elderly of their dignity, value, and purpose; robs the youth (literally via ever increasing tax burden to pay for the welfare state) of their future; and for those nations which import foreigners to exploit for tax revenue, it robs the culture of its identity. Remove the State from the mix and a great deal of the problem simply goes away. Deregulate the economy, and encourage a less insane work culture, and the kind of prosperity the people of nations actually desire will be the result. Of course, this robs politicians & bureaucrats of power, so this can never be allowed to happen.

As an person born and living in europe i can see why Japan would resist immigration.
They are basically applying western rules and regulations on anyone who wants to migrate there.
While Europe is taking in and not deporting any illegals. Which leads to millions of people coming in from much less developed countries who have those less developed nations values and then you throw religion on it and europe does nothing cause of religious freedom just to not seem racist.
RIP Europe.

Or, they could adjust to a smaller population while engineering social change to bump up birth rates back to 2. 2. A smaller population probably allows them to enjoy life more on the islands (among which, house prices on islands with limited space, if they manage to bridge a temporary overhang of older people (which is probably a feature of the future anyway with further increases in life expectancy)

Every complaint about population (overpopulation, underpopulation, aged population, what-have-you) is nothing but politicians holding a tirade against women that condenses to the -question- of why we aren't -fulfilling our roles- as breeders. If you're a woman and care about issues of population, have some self-respect (to make up for the lack of respect from the politicians) and don't.

it's easy to change the population issue. All they need to do is to lay off all those inefficient old senior management and middle management workforce.
They are literally nothing but epitome of inefficiency and they only promote toxic work culture myth.
Either that, or they will have to offer cost of living subsidy for young people instead of funding elderly social benefits.

Japan is one of the safest and cleanest countries in the world. Why would they want immigrants to come in and change that? I don-t blame them. This video obviously tried to call out their homogenous society. Hopefully the Japanese can recover their own population because their culture and country is amazing and I hope they-re able to preserve that.

And China is overpopulated -. Japan rocks. They live simply, notice they don't have much luxury/sports cars? They're contented with simple cars, and bicycles. They have a great railway system that take people to work and places. In the US, it's the opposite. And Japan technology still beats the US. Japan>US.

Too much of anything is an issue! Too much comfort, convenience, consumption etc etc increases the cost of living making it unsustainable at individual/family/country level and it is so difficult to get adjusted to lesser comforts or convenience after getting addicted to the extreme materialism.

How can Japan shrink while their blood is all over in USA and China. Taiwan's top lead Cai Yingwen is only showing her royalty towards her Japanese blood. She is like a child clinging to Japan for help and protection. Can you explain to me how Japan is shrinking?

Ignoring all the issues with mass immigration, even if japan was to accept vastly more people, it would only be a band-aid.
Other things have to be done to fix birth rate issues. I'm not exactly sure what, but definitely something.

I'd love to be a dual citizen in Japan & work there.
Though not in the bad work environments that exist there.
However, I love the culture and how it last dispite the urbanization and influence from other nations when it opened.

The problem comes down to japanese people not renting to foreigners, jobs not hiring foreigners, racism throughout Japan, and not allowing foreigners into the country more often compared to the usa.

Japan was a humble peaceful island nation until the end of the Edo era in the mid-19th century with no interest in international competitions. I guess we are just returning to what we used to be.
