Beijing time zone dictates China not because people live in the west of the line does not matter(actually more than 70% of those who live in the West part are also Han Chinese like me, single time zone is convenient for a poor country to govern and then it becomes a tradition more or less similar to Year 2000 problem, at the beginning you do it this way, sometimes you cannot fixed due to the tremendous cost you have to pay even if you realize a better way is just around the corner.

Eastern China has better land for farming, more water, and a milder climate. This makes it easier for people to live there.
Western China is mostly mountains and desert. It is difficult to grow food there and the weather is very extreme.
People have been living in Eastern China for thousands of years. This has led to the development of major cities, infrastructure, and economic activity in the region.
There are more job opportunities in Eastern China.

China and India are among the oldest civilizations in the world, therefore there are a lot people living in these countries. It is not reasonable to compare China (or India) to any of the European countries. What is the point to compare China with Monaco? You can only compare China with India or with entire Europe. And because China never went around the world colonizing other continents like Europeans, most Chinese people live in China.

Your comment starting15. 40 onwards is bias and baseless. The ethnic minorities in China including Tibetans and Uyghurs are living happily and thriving now. There may be a few extreme Uyghurs and Tibetans instigated by U. S. and the west to create troubles in China. But they failed and the west feel very unhappy. Ask the Americans and the Anglo-Saxons, where are the indigenous people now in their countries? Where are the Red-Indians now?

I'm just glad we haven't found a way to ruin the entire planet. Yall should be happy. Here in the US the Appalachian area has been ruined. Can't go more than 50 feet without a cabin. Ruining it for wild life bc God forbid bears and wolves dare to exist.

It is hypocritical for Americans to critise Chine on the issues of minorities such as Tibetians or Wigurs. At least China keeps them to date. Americans literally annilated all of the monorities that occupied the land.

One has to remember that China invaded the Independant Nation of Tibet.
