Good explained but not enough like most videos for this, that is why people get twisted what means that word. Narcisism is a personal disorder and can be complete and incomplete, but that doesnt mean the person is using u for something or will treat u bad if u are his friend or lovemate! That is why often is missconception that abusers are usually narcisistic people! They may have this disorder also but that doesnt make them agressive verbal or physically or to beat u and finally kill u. They will loose interes in u when u dont adore them. These people has other kind disorders and narcisism sometimes is only small aspect of the whole picture. That is why im saying is not well explained to the society and they think that energy vampirism means u are narcisist also. Narcisism need fans, if anyone doesnt match with u its not gonna happen. That is why they mistake with that disorder and actually most people has bi polar, histrion disorder, paranoic disorder(is not shizo) and disociative disorder and borderline disorder. Of course these disorders has under categories.

Seeing these traits made me realize that my dad might have them and I most likely got some from my trauma with him. He's very ludus, refuses to get help and recognize that he's biased, always thinks he's in the right and that I know nothing for being younger and less experienced. He does love and care for me, but he has too many issues going on and, as a child who was very perceptive, I did end up picking up on a lot of it. Thankfully I do have a lot of empathy and no want for superiority, all the worst stuff. but I still want to be grand, wise and adored for my help; I struggle with being misunderstood, and not having control over being wronged makes me resort to manipulation tactics without realizing. I will get, hopefully, get diagnosed next week and edit this comment to tell how it went and what I need to start doing to get better.

Here are the 3 signs:
1. Love bombing: They give you excessive attention and admiration at the beginning of the relationship, but then change their behavior and become toxic.
2. Ludus love style: They are playful, flirtatious, and noncommittal, but also deceptive and game-playing.
3. Image obsession: They care more about how you look together in public than how you feel in private.
And here's what to do about them:
- Pay attention to your own needs and well-being.
- Learn about narcissism and its effects on your mental health.
- Set boundaries and limit your contact with the narcissist.
- Dont feel guilty about ending the relationship if they violate your boundaries.

Are you sure people should start playing arm chair psychological diagnosing? You mention about narcissist pop culture thing yet you indulge in it by doing this. NPD exists but unless you have a psychological degree, it would be hard to know if they actually have the personality disorder. Whatever just happened to calling people selfish and jerks? Or new modern word toxic? This only really serves to discriminate against the (admittedly few in case of a real diagnosis) people trying to get help because they got a cluster B diagnosis or misdiagnosis if this ableism continues

Thank You all at Psych2Go. In my life of abuse, negation, violating trauma, and neglectful behaviors, I find in retrospect that the behavior's of all the negating personality types are so ingrained in most people that to realize that there is a metaphorical light at the end of the tunnel. Sadly in my view the tunnel seems to be considerably out of reach. I've related that you can't legislate decency. Which means that so much indecency is not illegal. Thank You all at Psych2Go again for the encouragement and information. And a reliable source of both.

Like what you can do for them, and all the other points mentioned in this video, is what I experienced geo-maxing to the Far East where guys are often seen as walking ATM's for the person and their extended family. In the end, it will become all hardship. Never petition or delude yourself it's love, especially if you're not getting tons of attention back in your Western country. On the SMV scale, only the most attractive guys are able to obtain true passion based romantic love (see Sternberg's Triangle. Nature is that which selects.

Oki but like-
Is it weird that I desperately want a narcissist to like me? - or like- be in a relationship-,
I think it's because I'm the type of person that likes to make myself the last priority to anything, and give everything I have to someone else-,
I don't really care if I would get treated badly, or not have my feelings considered in their decisions,
Them doing stuff like that is the entire reason I want to be with a narcissist like that-
Aha-.
I'm extremely mentally ill-

what do you do if you think youve developed narcissistic tendencies due to have being raised by one? is it a bad habit or ingrained in your nature? because its terrifying to think about it like its a ticking time bomb about to go into full effect and i dont want that to happen. I dont want to hurt other peoples feelings and i dont want anyone to feel inferior, i want people to feel safe, understood and supported around me and that way both ways its equal treatment because no one is above anyone else

Well most people meet narcissists that arent people with a personality disorder, but they have a lot of traits. Its hard to find the right word for people who act like narcissist but dont have a personality disorder, so everyone just say narcissist
We should just pay attention not to call everyone like that only because they like taking selfies or something
Real narcissists arent that many, but sadly its easy to find a person with more than one of their traits

I did the same except the image factor to if I can call girlfriend, and felt I was doing things the right way. However soon I realized she got distracted/bored by having convo with me and we broke up. I only meant to emphasize my lovee. Damn that's crazy how my nature or to be precise disorde stand a barrier in my romantic life I hate myself for this not like internally/thoroughly though just like I bare this in mind.

I had to take a pause because this made me go am I a narcissist? But then I thought: would narcissists have the kind of self-reflection and desire for a happy and healthy relationship (including making the other person happy) like I'm exhibiting now?
Flirting just to not commit also didn't resonate with me. I don't wanna say I'm proud of myself (ego-boosting feels wrong: x) but I think I'm on the right track.

Funny enough I had a nar. friend, everyone in my circle though she was my girlfriend because of how the relationship was (also toxic af, even she had a boyfriend who she cheated with another friend who acted like the savior to her. One day she called me because that friend try to take advantage of her, she talked horrible about him and later days they were a couple. Glad I dumped her, you really feel relieved.

an in depth discussion of picking apart the dark triad and a dark empath would be a great watch and quite helpful. i feel like i read people pretty well but there is occasionally a few who give off no normal social cues at all and its like talking to an ai almost. its eerie and im curious if its one of the 4 big bads or something else maybe. and id like to vibe check the big 4 better in general anyways.

Oh look, another video about narcissists from you that has already covered these things several times in the past. When are you gonna add nuance to the topic that narcissism is a personality disorder and people who have it are victims of it themselves. When are you gonna stop making narcissists as villains, and actually care about mental disorders instead boxing them into good and evil?

Another thing to keep in mind is that not all narcissists present themselves as having high confidence. If they come across as having no boundaries (in an effort to make you have no boundaries) and having low self esteem from a tragic backstory from their childhood or a past relationship (so you can pity them) then you might be dealing with a covert narcissist.

I broke up with a narcissist last year, and Im still recovering. Selfish, no empathy, and delusions of grandeur. If she had any issues, THAT was optimal and I was inferior for not having it. Being constipated for three weeks? Her body is just really efficient at absorbing nutrients, and Im weird for being regular. It was maddening.

Though why two girls and two boys? Why not equal outlooks of boy and girl, girl and boy? One of the girls looks misleading the other one, because after all, they are both girls and know the biological struggle. That can also play a part of narcissism and blinding to not see a tip in the balance.

Breaking up with a romantic partner seems comparatively simpler than emancipating from Ones parents (Ive only had personal experience with the latter type of relationship.
If it reaches that point, does anyone have any tips or advice on recovery from such an intense final resort decision?

Right, psych2go in my opinion has been treating narcissists like horrible people, even though their just people who need more help. Maybe you could stop making videos about people being abused by narcissists and maybe make more about how narcissists can cope.

The 'clinical' definition of a narcissist is why I take care not to use it to label my mom
Her background is based on cultural learning, not full narcissistic tendencies, completely ignoring that that lifestyle isn't relevant in society

Narcissists can be like businessmen with a sales pitch. They tend to show interest as long as there's a lucrative investment. Sometimes, it's not about people at all. It's about seeing their value & harnessing their capabilities.

I'm curious though. Is it worth it to be with a narcissist? Or do you need to be one to be with one? I like to see the other side in things so I'm curious if narcissism is completely bad, or just not for everyone.

Although wanting to appear to be a functional couple could just be a want to preserve a reputation. A reputation once destroyed is hard to rebuild, and the limbic system recognises its importance in survival.
