If anyone is doubtful as to whether it looks any better than console on ps4 pro or xbox one x. it is night and day better visually at ultra settings in true 4k. I am using a 2080ti which still chugs along on ultra at 4k but the game looks gorgeous compared to consoles and is easily the best looking most detailed game I've played to date on pc outside of modded skyrim and fallout 4 or Control with ultra rtx features on. Dont judge it by compressed YouTube videos and dont listen to salty console fanboys who can't afford mid ranged PCs nor know or want to learn how to build. They're everywhere in the comments for the pc release of rdr2 and annoying as hell.

I have a 1080 Ti and the Gamers Nexus' video on RDR2 GPU performance showed that the 1080 Ti is not running as well versus other cards as it usually does. On top of that even the highest of highend PCs can't run it above 1080p without turning settings way down (if it will run at all lol. I'm just going to stick to playing it on the XB1X for now.

Rockstar messed the PC version up very bad. It's honestly sad, given that everyone had to wait 1 whole year to get a PC version and when we get it it's broken for those that dont have a 2080ti and i9cpu. Basically If you do not own the most overpriced gpu and CPU out there you cant have a good red dead 2 pc experience.

2080Ti - 1080P? No. just No!
Here's what I have found with a 2080Ti.
4K: turn off all AA, DX12, Aniso 16X, Long Shadows Off, Raybranch Off, all other options on High. 50-70 FPS.
1440P: same as above but add TAA High or FXAA, whichever you prefer. 65-90 FPS.
Ultra is for next gen flagship GPUs.

This game is heavy, but EVERYONE knows that MSAA tanks the FPS on every game, so was silly to show oh is running 30 FPS 1080p on a RTX 2080 ti. The TAA option is more than enoght to give a -film like quality- of AA to this game. MSAA, Seriously?

I can't believe people don't know how much of a hit MSAA will give. I play using a 2080 with most everything on Ultra or high and no MSAA at around 43fps at 4K.

you don't have to hold down the run button you can just go into cinematic mode and arthur will just follow the guy you are in a mission with.

Look at that, Hayden doesn't sound as jaded as he was in previous gameplay videos. He might be actually enjoying the game this time. Good for him!

Edit: not maxed out but high
