-how much more can they get out of an SSD-, well, random and Q1T1 is still a bit, meh. Especially on SATA drives (not all boards have more than one M. 2 slot, and not everyone runs a single drive. I think it was the 1TB MX500 that had a similar Q1T1 read score as many M. 2 drives, in the double-digit MBps, not even gigs, megs per second. Surly that can be improved on 6GBps and higher interfaces. Not everyone is doing video encoding, so sequential is a bit pointless for many things. And not everyone is running server apps that can queue up a thousand disk operations, so even that is a bit out of the PC realm.
Great vid Gordon, Kevin, and crew. B)

I wasn't paying a lot of attention because they were both so boring. but when we're talking about heat isn't it more about the transfer of heat to the SSD from the motherboard than the heat it generates itself? Although it was a nand flash SSD I remember a JayzTwoCents video where RGB was causing the SSD to overheat and shut down. I don't know how well a heat sink by itself works (I can't see the fin count) but if nvme drives are just as sensitive to heat it's a good idea to have (if it works.

I love these videos! I don't know if you guys have a partnership with Corsair or not, but it's so great that we can hear directly from them about the current state and potential future of the PC landscape. Please get George back on hear. I always love hearing from him.

They're JUST NOW getting around to testing performance at high temps and with raid like 3 mo. AFTER product release? That would be unbelievable. And i didn't hear any real talk of Gen 5 beyond a half of sentence.

-Obviously we love our RGB so we dump funds into it. - Anyone else find this not funny, not funny at all? RGB artificially bloats the prices of products.

Would be curious to hear his take on the back of the motherboard m. 2 slots. With really VERY limited air flow will this have a real impact?
