I can't picture someone playing this game and not getting addicted to it. It's one of these games that you'll play for 8 hours if you start playing it. It's a game that legitimately makes you think and problem solve which is so incredibly unique in a world of constant first-person shooters. There's diplomacy, resource management, trade, economy management, production line, city building, and about a billion other interwoven mechanics. Honestly, it's the most use your brain type of game I've ever played. This Adam guy clearly isn't a fan of that lmao.

Thanks for the video. It is kind of funny to see players who have either no experience with the Anno or Settlers games to struggle with the micro-management elements. Proving enough resources is the least hard thing in the game. So far my biggest struggle is the naval fighting. But optimizing production chains is pretty standard in Anno. Keep short transport paths, keep stuff close to each other or put another storage. You forgot to show about the stock share feature; )
So far > 20 hours into it and love it.

Thanks for the video, great review! I gave up on Civ 6 as there were no instructions, and the 'training' was poor to say the least, so I wasted $50 for nothing. So happy you said the training was poor in this sim too, as that's saved me some cash. I would love to play these games, but I've never played any of them before, so there really should be better instructions! So for me, once bitten.

Coming from someone who has never heard of Anno before now. I played the open beta and had a blast! It is crazy complicated for those who have never played it before, but Adam, Sim City is the only game I-ve played a lot of that compares. Even after about 5 hours, i have no idea how to really make money. sometimes I-m making a ton, and then just tank. It-s awesome!

The first 2 minutes are really cringy, sorry. Two guys talking about how complicated it all seems and mentioning SimCity, which came out like forever ago. I already know I won't get a useful information here. I know this is a review in progress, but c'mon.

I play on a GTX 1060 6gb and I5 6500 (quad core) And It is pretty smooth with 60 FPS at medium/high settings. Butter smooth swaps between new/old world ect.

I played the open beta and this game is just insane. Veeeery polished game in terms of systems, gameplay, features, difficulty curve, etc.

This content was spot on for me. Anno is well known to city builders but I wondered how it was to play never having seen it. Gorgeous game.

Looks like an interesting game to me, but I do like and play Civ V and Civ VI which is similar in some aspects of the game.
