When it comes to North Korea's invasion of Yeonpyeong Island, it is absurd that various reconnaissance assets, including satellites and radars, are monitoring the Yellow Sea region of North Korea in real-time. If there are any signs of invasion, the South Korean side can respond first. Several K9 self-propelled artillery units that can precisely target and fire through GPS are deployed on the island.
The South Korean naval assets that will destroy the North Korean navy do not come from far away from Seoul, but have already been regularly deployed and are still reconnoitering. For the North Korean military to invade the island, it will have to neutralize the South Korean naval ships that spy around the island, but there is currently no NK military force suitable to destroy the South Korean navy.

Note that conventional powered subs are no less stealthier than nuclear powered subs. The difference is that nuclear powered subs can stay below the surface for decades (in theory, the crew needs to eat so they have to dock in port regularly. Diesel subs have a Diesel engine that recharges the batteries of the sub and those batteries power the sub while below the surface. This means Diesel subs are just as stealthy as nuclear subs while submerged, only their range and time below the surface are severely limited. Only while charging the batteries a Diesel sub is noisy and thus only happens while resurfacing.
Your conclusion is still the same though as the possible time submerged and range of Diesel subs is pretty limited.

I wonder why no one is talking about the possibility of having a nuclear weapon in the Republic of Korea. South Korea is in the leading group of nuclear technologies capable of manufacturing and deploying nuclear weapons within a year. South Korea has not developed nuclear weapons only for political reasons, and it already has all the necessary nuclear-projection weapons, including long-range missiles and SLBMs. It has already developed a missile capable of converting nuclear weapons on its own fighter jets. Is there an international law for South Korea not to make a decision when things get bad as described in the video Do you think the U. S, especially the Trump administration, can control the situation

As an american soldier ill say this. we have an entire army in south korea thats more powerful than 80% of the countries of the worlds military. and its sole purpose is to defend korea. we only say we have a delaying force but let me tell you that DELAYING FORCE can conquer north korea with south korea occupying but wouldnt be needed since 70% of the norths population and even 20% of the norths military would change sides. its hard to die for somebody willingly when hes been destroying the peoples will to live. and now they know the grass is greener. the north is doomed. and taiwan is protected by the entire United States Navy. taiwan is safe. trust me on this. i know them to be factual

I've read many books and followed experts predicting war for years and years now, I am taking the position that it happens if it happens, but seeing predictions dating 50 years back where war, collapse, revolution. seems like the experts really don't know what they are talking about or have much understanding of the DPRK regime. I believe it when I see it, otherwise this prediction is just among one of the many, I predict no war will come, only if Kim's position is in actual danger, otherwise another video/book/news for the views where gullible Westerners are spoon fed crap. I predict this is crap and no war.

We gave every opportunity for the Afghan military and government to become self sustaining. The fact that we left as cleanly as we did is testimony to the correct response to the situation. Anyone thinking otherwise is full of crap. We never heard a plan that provided an alternative to the one implemented by the withdraw. Fact is nothing looked any different from what was already being tried.

ah, imagine a world where
instead of leaders sending out people to fight a war on behalf of them even if they didnt want to, they would go fight on behalf of themselves.
they waged the war, they fight it. not they waged the war, the country fights for them while they get what they want, and sit back and watch it all unfold.
or maybe they could all just settle it in a 1v1 fist fight.

North Korea have become bolder because USA have become weaker. They have the manpower advantage. if there is a one to one exchange in fatality when war broke out. When both side lost one million troops on the ground, they will still have two millions where USA will no longer have any more troop. Same issue for conflict with China, which also have the manpower advantage.

There is one major flaws in your video. Nuclear weapon is a blunt weapon. Not jut for the nation that shoot it but also other. Putin nuclear threat would be way less effective once North Korea use their nuke. Not to mention, whoever ruling over Beijing or Moscow, they don't want to rule overe a radiated wasteland

Crazy to say but I thought something was going to escalate when BTS got forced to go into the military for mandatory service at reasonably short notice and all but one of them were used as good press for SK military. One of the least athletic’ members is in a special forces unit - they want an Elvis moment.

Yes, rhetoric and missile tests are real, but as always it is all about deterrence. There is a 0 % chance North Korea will invade South Korea. Say what you want about the Kim regime, but they are able to do basic math, and they know they have nothing to gain and everything to lose by trying to conquer the south.

The US could re-implement sanctions immediately if North Korea didn't honor their commitment to disarm. North Korea could never get its weapons back if they surrendered them and the US decided not to honor its commitment to relieve sanctions. The onus is on the US to make the first move and relieve sanctions
reply

Idk why you think NK is practical with their decision making. In fact I completely disagree, theres been no logical move made by them. I fear that you are failing to see things through their eyes.
This is clearly a civilian putting together anything an average person does. Im sticking to the experts.

The problem with trying to invade Taiwan is that it is waterlocked, us has better weaponry in its navy then China, i think China will not be able to invade Taiwan and the american troops in South Korea wil not be used to full power and be conserved, making it very foolish of north korea to attack
reply

I think the era of peace is over, now war is only thing leaders wants. Middle class and low income people will strive to become rich enough to live peacefully in a world which is moving towards war while rich people will enjoy the wars and laugh at people struggling to live around it.

I feel like this will soon be a job for the Navy seals. Kim and his sister both will need to be dealt with. Kim also has to remember once he attacks S. Korea America can and will be involved in protecting them and if it comes to it the seals will have to go in to take him out.

over 40 minutes of fearmongering and speculation
not one single hard fact
any discussion that doesn' t include the Nkorea' s population pyramid, the reduction in population (specially in the conscript age bracket) is useless
RLL, hard F minus

reply

surely the north would get squashed by the south in the event of a war the south has almost double the population, better tech, they actually have food. inb4 north korea nukes the south. Why would you turn the land you want into a nuclear hellscape
reply

Why would North Korea ever invade South Korea If Kim Jong-Un ever did that, then North Korea would be annihilated and he would be killed. I doubt he wants to die, so I doubt he would ever order the invasion of South Korea.
reply

Diesel electric subs are quieter than nuclear subs when they're running on their batteries. It wasnt too long ago that a swedish diesel sub scored a kill on a fully escorted US carrier during allied excercises.
