I used to hate these cars. The headlights were some of the ugliest out there, the infotainment could've come out of an early Ford (yes I know R-Rs are all about the craftsmanship and quiet comfort, but as some point you can only improve leather so much, I expect top of the line -everything- for $500k, the ride was so soft that it was more seasick like an old Cadillac than reassuring like a proper Rolls, the profile was gaudy, trashy, and out of proportion, and you could see the 7-series in it everywhere you looked. Over the decade they were out, Mercedes and Bentley leapfrogged them on every conceivable measure, even Lexus was able to add just the right amount of firmness to let you know what's going on despite the pillowy soft ride, while the Phantom stagnated. The updated ones are great though, I've been in one courtesy of a friend who's a car collector and they are truly the best cars in the world again. The new headlights, new dashboard, better rear suspension, and slightly less slab sided profile fixed everything that was wrong with it. I'm not sure how the new ones could ever be surpassed, maybe some new infotainment apps and autonomous/crash avoidance systems could be added, but since those are easy aftermarket upgrades, the updated Phantom may just be able to hold its place at the top forever, like the Jaguar MK II or Mercedes W100 have.

ugly car, overrated company. high class my ass, they should have better taste than this. There are better luxury cars than this. Rolls Royce should just make airplane engines, i think they are better at that.

Is that real wood in the interior? Or is it just plastic that looks like wood? Because, There are plenty of cars out there in the 20-30k range that have plastic that LOOKS like wood.

my favorite car but i wish it had the option for Maybach seats and a glass roof. the rolls looks the best on the outside but i think the maybach 62s has the best interior
