Not using stock cars, not using standard cars (a 2002 Bullitt is not a valid representation of the dog a 2 valve GT was, and not having a pro driver is poor journalism. Honestly not trying to hate, but someone who doesn’t know any better will believe this is how these cars are. They’ll think Mustang IIs are anything other than emissions choked 70s cars. Their peak hp was the 140 hp king cobra shown here and no, you’re not getting that performance from a 4 bbl, cam, and headers on the stock short block. A fox 5. 0 running a 16. 4 in the quarter is a huge tell, those cars stock ran low 14s with a good driver. That wasn’t the surface either, everything else ran what it should (minus the cobra running 2 seconds faster than stock with 3 mods. He’s 9 parts away from running a 10 second 1/4 apparently. Using ultra rare variants to represent certain generations is cheeky. This could have been interesting, but it was just bad.

Sorry, nope. You missed the E generation. A Mach-E would wipe the road with all of them. It may be the most hated Mustang but it's amazing to own & drive with it's rear-wheel bias and on-tap AWD

What an awful comparison. A 10 speed auto No Terminator How about a '14 Boss 302 How about a Fox Body that isn't modified yet still running almost 3 seconds slower in the quarter than bone stock Must have been slim pickens.

Everyone craps on the Mustang II, but that’s not fair if you remember the times. The malaise era was a very dark time for cars, and Ford sold a whole lot of them. It kept the Mustang alive, if nothing else.

After owning a 35th anniversary mustang, I tell what is car wow about this video is that more didn’t break down. only put 12k on it and then gave that check engine light generator to someone else.

They are missing a generation. 1971-1973 was a very different design to the 1970 and older years.
Also: Matt doesn’t know the difference b/w a 2 barrel carburetor and a 4 barrel carburetor

Too bad the Gen 1 wasn’t able to race. I would have love to even hear just start up of it. Think it’s definitely one of the best with a nice cold start.

Would have been nice to see the S550 Mach 1 instead of the Bullet against the Dark Horse. The Dark Horse should have also had the Tremec TR-3160.

Amazing how heavy gen 7 is vs gen 1. 50 percent heavier with same horsepower. gen 1 eleanor would have won if it was allowed to race.
