How Alcohol Influences Muscle (10 Studies) Drunk Workout in Vegas Anton Rosvall: I'd argue that there's a lot of wrong in this video. A calorie isn't really a calorie. Calories that come from example sugar and alcohol which is considered toxins by the body mostly gets processed by the liver which later on flows to the cell which overfloods the cell with energy. This is one of the reasons why you get a rush when u eat sugar. But the cell cant handle all this energy so it leaves the cell in the form of citrate which basically goes straight as visceral fat which is the fat that surrounds your organs (also the most harmful type of fat) which gives you a beer belly.

It seems like, if youre going to drink, it ought to be done just after your workout, or forty-eight hours later. The former to avoid muscle protein synthesis loss, and the latter to ride out that recovery phase, although waiting two days probably means youll be working out the next day, which might mess up your workout.

I stick to 1 to 2 glasses of red wine on some weekends, usually a Sunday evening and that's it. If you want to be at your strongest and fittest, drinking and getting drunk will only slow your progress. Not only that but the mind set you can enter during the hangover period can throw you off your habitual routine.

Calorie is a calorie only in extremes. A moderate diet of say 2500-3000 calories, a calorie is not a calorie. In one scenario of high refined carbs vs low carbs, high protein, fiber; the former will make you fat, the other will get you shredded. Its a hormone issue not a thermodynamic issue. Look up Gary Taubes.

Drinking doesn't kill gains it just makes your workouts trash which kills your gains. Avoid alcohol whenever you can so that if you do get pressured into a beer, you're not going 6 deep. Moderation works when you are in control, being 3 or 4 beers in will reduce your self control.

Any studies on effects of overuse of alcohol on testosterone? I'm betting that anything that rises above casual drinking will hurt testosterone. For instance, binge drinking every Friday and Saturday would likely have cumulative effects given enough time (let's say doing that for several years.

I find if I have a really heavy night out that and end up in bed or on the sofa the next day that the following day my body is incredibly weak. Im convinced that my muslces are rested for too long of a period which has a negative response and actually makes the body regress, thoughts?

Jeff, what would you consider occasionally by your standards? Also glad to see someone else out there fully extending their body and returning back into the seated row position to start their rows Never seen anyone else at a variety of gyms do this except for myself haha

Regular alcohol use is simply not part of a healthy life. It depletes you physically and especially mentally. It is far too accepted in our society as a cool thing to do, or essential part of social life. It's sad because it destroys many lives and bodies.
