It honestly annoys me that a lot of tech influencers seem to run their hardware at full-bore when unnecessary, putting just that bit more strain on their machines, the grid, and the environment. That aside, I recently got a new laptop and plan to use it on my actual lap for long periods of time so I need that battery life and less heat output.

Useful, but. 03: 00, overclock will not override max temperature settings. That over temperature protection is there just for those who overclock and do not check temperatures. Only advanced users, and not in all hardware, can override OT protections
