At first as you looked at Peux OS, I thought this was some sort of elaborate troll. I mean, the obviously busted approach to naming/branding had me skeptical, and then all the strange, disjointed, and redundant desktop UI choices had me almost convinced. But there's an awful lot of effort here for a troll, let alone a functional, usable troll. That's when I remembered: this is the promise of Linux and FLOSS in general - anyone can do anything with it. Maybe Peux OS was inevitable.

Seriously take a look at NixOS, but not like this. The difference in Distros -should not- be the installed applications or the GUI themes but the way you manage and configure your packages. NixOS is the OS that does that right. Write one NixOS configuration (with Emacs) and use it on every Laptop. It's A M A Z I N G!

Pukes? That's a terrible name lol
Also also also -Packages: 0-
Also please don't judge me I have taskbar on my Awesome and it helps me seeing what applications are open (and it's a dynamic window manager even though I never used the floating mode anyways.)

I don't use XFCE so I can't comment on that, but that Xmonad default setting... I 100% agree with you, it's really not right. Usually there's no right or wrong, only personal preferences, but that bar at the top is really useless and takes up screen space for nothing.

DT, why do u use VM for reviewing new distros. It's so unfair, since so many ppl watch ur videos and u could give off a bad image due to VM problems. U can simply have a small partition to install these distros! Is that so hard?

I think the idea of xmonad edition is for people who want the convenience of tiling window managers while still having a gui kinda desktop, like pop os tiling function and the material shell on gnome, which is good in my opinion

Why do those ppl make such horrible distributions? Why do they bloat them with unnecessary software? Why do they make multiple versions with different software (e.g. different terminals)?
I don't get it

I like to pronounce it Pux with silent e. Like tux with a -p- instead of t, . it sounds friendly and fun. the big buttons might be touch friendly. I will test this os as a touch-friendy distro.

Peux represents the linux -Penguin with a tux-. I know that most of you would pronounce it in French, but it's pronunciation is -PayUx- [ 'Pe' from Penguin and 'Ux' from Tux/Linux ]

I got a bit interrested in it when the webpage seemed to mention -TWM editions-. But with -TWM- they meant -Tiling Window Managers- and not the proper TWM. Heresy!
