No shit, this is best chicken recipe I've ever made. You must make it. RECIPE: Terri: I love your show and the things Max adds when editing! I have to keep my eyes half closed when your prepping because of your tendency to inflict pain on yourself! LOL. Sorry for laughing but your reactions are hilarious. But this video surprised me because you always remind us to be careful not to cut, burn etc on most of them but on this one you didn't use gloves or even recommend that we use gloves when handling habaneros! A couple of grocery stores here actually have a warning sign by the hot peppers and will give you gloves if you ask. I learned the hard way when I touched my face and the burn didn't stop for a very long time! Lol Live and learn I guess? Anyways, I'm definitely going to give this a try. This, as do all your dishes look amazing! Thanks Sam and company, keep up the good work!

So Ive tried it twice. first time: 5/10 ( way too sweet to start it off, nothing in the middle just the continual sweetness from ginger to a all of a sudden subtle spicy notes to finish) second time: 7/10. Added 1/2 inch of fresh ginger, same teaspoon of ground ginger(2. This is the biggest problem with this recipe. Do with only adding either the one inch of fresh ginger, or the two teaspoons of ground ginger because if you do them both its way too sweet. In the second batch I did 3 habanero, 1 serrano, 2 jalapeno, with 1/2 in fresh Ginger and 1 1/2tsp of ground ginger. and it met my spiciness but I could do a 3-2-2 and still be fine. Pick your ginger and use only one. Will edit once Ive done this thrice.

Sam's food is great but he shouldnt call it Jerk Chicken or Chicken Enchiladas etc. He should preface it by saying Jerk Inspired Chicken or some other term because this isn't what Jamaicans eat. I get that its just damn good but that doesnt make it authentic. And by saying Jamaican Jerk Chicken instead of Jamaican Jerk Inspired Chicken people think it's the real deal. So its okay for people of these cultures to be upset when Sam waters down these recipes. Again! No hate here i love these videos and the food always looks good. Just my take. Keep up the videos but id suggest putting down inspired in some of the titles.

That is not how we jerk chicken in Jamaica, first of all I have to bring up the fact that you didn't sprinkle a can of beer on that while it was jerking because the beer is what adds the juiciness to the chicken, secondly it needs to be in a jerk pan that can be covered allowing the smoke to just escape a little but the heat is trapped that way you can get it done all over and the smell will be amazing. then you open from time to time sprinkle more beer and brush on your seasoning

I made this and if anyone is wondering this is absolutely some of the best chicken Ive ever had. Hands down! It just might be the best. I made it for my girlfriend and she was extremely impressed. I took a few pieces to work and my co workers loved it too. Im making it again for the second time, back by popular demand! Oh and i definitely sparked a fatty while making this Thank you much Sam!

Had to rebook the family vacation to Jamaica cause of the BS Coronavirus. the wife was a freaked out cause she didn't think we'd be able to get back. Sooooo I remembered watching this vid awhile back and I says to myself, F it. if I cant have jerk chicken in Jamaica I'm damn well having it at home. .Georgetown, Ontario. Just real hard to find habanero's around here. So just using the Jalapeno.

This Recipe & Cooking is all wrong. Jerk paste should not be watery and what happen to the browning sauce? Jerk chicken should be smoked with wood fire and covered. Please make it right! Because Right now all these old Jamaican ladies are rolling in their graves and the other half are rolling their eyes at this video.

We got our jerk Chicken recipe from the guys at 3 Dives in Negril after liquoring em up. All fresh ingredients and we haven't found anything that compares. The base is your marinade, and you make the sauce with your base + brown sugar, ketchup, another Scotch Bonnet. We've found that Honey works as well.

Lol I love u Sam but this is not JAMAICAN JERK CHICKEN. You CANNOT make jerk chicken without scotch bonnet pepper and some jerk seasoning. Walkerswood Jamaican jerk seasoning or Grace Jamaican jerk seasoning are two good ones you can use. Im sure my fellow Caribbeans will agree. You gotta redo those vid Sam.

Habaneros are hot AF! I used to grate them and the smell would make my eyes water and burn my nose and give me an almost suffocating feeling; and my fingers would burn slightly. One time I rubbed my eyes - after thoroughly washing my hands - and it burned like crazy as if I had put pepper in them. Crazy!
