Spicy rice cake (Tteokbokki: )
video description
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us. I have made it recently and OMG I am obsessed with it. However, the other day I bought a different brand of frozen rice cake at Korean store. Prepared and cooked as usual but with this rice cake as I poured them in the hot boiled broth, it then turned out mushy and mashed within 30 seconds - 1 minute. Maybe this type of rice cake isn't that good. Do you have any trick that I can fix it?
Thank you

I dont know how are these really taste like. Can any one tell? because of the shows I Went to Korean restaurants and Korean supermarket in different times, it tasted sweet and didnt matches with the color just and spicy so I didnt continues just after one bite it was sweet both times so I thrown them into garbage, I thought it would taste like Gochujung Flavor(I love them) but it wasnt even close to that taste.

I made this a year ago and fell in love with rice cakes. I add them to soup, eat with kimchi, ramen. I have so many of them frozen because I never want to be without them! Yum!

Hi Maangchi! I know the sauce relies on gochujang but it was way, way too spicy for me even with one tablespoon: ( is there any way to enjoy tteokbokki?

Thank you for sharing your recipe. It looks so great! I am running to the kitchen to make it now. Oops, I think I need to go to the Korean grocery first.
