Welcome to the FINAL LEVEL of Crash Course Games! We thought it made the most sense to sign off this series by taking a look towards the future because you know. boss battles are supposed to be tough. Now we don-t know the future obviously, so this episode is going to be a bit more speculative than we-re used to, but we-re going to do our best to recap what we-ve learned throughout this series and try to use that information to make inferences about what is to come. This series has been a joy to make by everyone involved and we collectively wanted to say thank you so much for playing along

Massive fallacy: video gaming increases all sorts of cognitive and problem-solving skills, yes, but in order go get to a point where that increase in skills becomes noteworthy, one needs to either have played for a very long time (by which point he/she will have missed the opportunity to utilize those skills in the real-world by spending all their free time on video games) or have started playing video games at a very early age (which again indicates that this person is likely to spend most of their life's free time playing deez games because early affinities tend to stay. Whichever way you look at it, gaming may be useful in all sorts of ways, but, on its own, it doesn't lead to anything but entertainment.

Well, here I am at the end. Not just of this series on games, but of Crash Course. Over the past 4 months, I've watched about 10 videos a day. This was the last video of the last completed series (meaning the only videos left are the series currently running. This show has really helped to provide structure and edification to my day as I continue to search for a job post-graduation (going on a year and a half. Thank you for providing me with a sense of accomplishment with my mornings!

Please do more crash course games. It's been 3 years since the last series, and a lot has happened since then. Also, this course of crash course games really focused on the big ideas of gaming. It would be nice to get a nother series at focuses on the small details. Like the history of console exclusivity. And maybe more of a focus on individual gaming titles that drove the future of video games.

The game industry is headed for another crash. Much like in 1983, publisher greed is slowly decaying away consumer confidence. Eventually, people are just not going to be interested in getting ripped off anymore. Indie gaming will always be around, but the industry as a whole is going to collapse. Once the government gets involved in regulating loot boxes, then it's all over.

yeah the in part of this where the new gamers are going to be good I taught my son on Super Mario now he's playing PS4 and Scott's me and almost every game not to mention he has an Xbox 360 and his room and if you look at his games they have almost every single upgrade and every game and he doesn't even play that much only on the weekends

Thanks for letting me level up one last time, Andre. Even though I won't be able to retain half of the terrific details Crash Course Games provided, I am sure I am going out with more knowledge of this community, that I am in thoroughly in love with, than I came in with. Have a great time. GAME OVER!

Yes, that one night of the week that football is on: Sunday. Oh, and Monday. And Thursday. And Saturday if you watch college football (or NFL playoffs or preseason. And Friday if you care about high school football.
Yep, football has just one day of the week! ;)

Sadly the future is more aggressive and predatory monitization and games designed to be less fun and more frustrating on purpose to turn players into payers.
The Games now play the Players, and the house wins by gambling mechanics.

Thank you, Andre. I watched the series with great interest, though I'm sad there weren't more episodes on traditional games. But I've learned a lot and it was interesting to watch a series on games.
