Oil is abiotic. it is part of the earth and is like everything else we were told we would be out of by now. and they are still here and being used. it is part of the earth's process. reminded me of the a/c tech guy who installed our whole house A/C. said we would be out of natural gas in 5 years. that was 30 years ago. Oil wells that were said to be pumped dry are now full again. We will never run out of oil. I got that from a geologist. and I would believe him before most others.

There is enough oil on the planet to last us well over 1, 000 years, even if our consumption increases per capita at a higher rate than it's increased for the past 30 years. As technology improves, turning the tar sands in Canada into oil will become cheaper, and refining the oil we get from the rest of North America will be cheaper. Plus, electricity usage will increase with electric cars. Price of oil will be going down in the future, not up.

Scotty: Everybody's got the hots for the smaller SUVs. Not me. My Dream Car is a. hmmm. 1994 Toyota Celica Or a car just like it, say a 1997 Acura Integra with 245, 000 miles on it. I like the gas mileage, looks, and oh yeah, I can cram a LOT of stuff in the back 'cuz it's a hatchback. lawnmowers, big screen TVs, a whole Lazy Boy recliner, etc.

Mr. Kilmer is right about SUVs being less fuel efficient and that gas prices will increase again at some point. But fuel efficiency has improved so much that today's SUVs still get decent mpg. One point Mr. Kilmer left out was SUVs sit higher making them much more likely to flip, but marketing has convinced people that makes them safer.

The Yaris, both sedan and 5-door, is now a rebadged Mazda 2. Toyota's C-HR is essentially a jacked-up Corolla. My guess is their new SUV will be a rebadged CX-5, which would make it the size the RAV4 used to be. Bear in mind that today's Corolla is the size of the old Camry. Makes me wonder why Toyota bothered with their TNGA platform.

I wish Toyota would harness the power of Skyactiv Technology and use it to have a supremely tuned Mazda 6 and a Toyota Corolla model. Toyota, Skyactiv is worth looking into perfecting please look into developing it further and making it one of the best driving technologies out there I think that would be a worthwhile endeavor.

Scotty, I saw in a couple comments and I agree, suv's or today's modern term crossovers are nothing more than a modern station wagon Only difference is they sit higher and many have all wheel drive. The United states was way ahead of its time with the station wagon. Love your videos they help me out a lot. Thanks

People are really crapping on SUVs. The truth is, people want practicality. SUVs are easier to get into, more comfortable for several people, and have a ton of space. Also, theyre starting to get better and better gas mileage. The RAV4 hybrid gets like 40 mpg. Even the normal RAV4 gets up to 35 mpg on the highway

I'm looking at the new corolla hybrid. Yea it's cvt automatic but my disability doesn't allow for standard and they are all cvt now but at least it's toyotaScientist have shown its not a limited commodity. They have gone back to supposedly dead wells and after years of not being used, it was full again
