Where do I start. Let's start with Maverick. I think what companies are starting to look at now, is the fact that in Australia, the Utes, are very popular. I think they're trying to ruin that with their pseudo copies. Yes, I agree about using the Maverick name on something like this is foolishness. I remember how excited that I got when I found out that Dodge was going to make darts again. When I saw them, I was very disappointed. I owned at least five different Dodge Darts, from 63, to 67. The Ford ranger. I'm sure you remember how these started out. These were a nice, basic, small, pickup truck. As we watch the generations come and go, toward the end of the first life that they had, they became more and more complicated, with more and more options, like a car. Other than the fact that they had a bed, I think some of them forgot that they were, indeed, trucks. I put over a million miles, on first and second generation Ford rangers. I enjoyed them very much. Was I driving in the lap of luxury? Not necessarily, but the 1991 XLT extra cab that I drove for 165, 000 mi, was pretty plushy period also, things that suffered, were gas mileage. How about those 2, 300 four-speed early rangers. 30 plus miles to the gallon if I remember correctly! But I digress, quite frequently, and very good sometimes. Enjoy!

Ford is throwing money down the well. Revamping a old name from an ugly cheap car from the 70 s, the 70 s were about the worst fords ever made. I had a 71 Ford, my father had a 77 Grand Marquis, my mother a 71 Mustang I also had a 76 Dodge Royal Monaco. all rust buckets! All had their mechanical issues in particular transmissions. Ford might as well bring back the Edsel while they re at it! If they re going to bring the Maverick name plate back make it a low priced affordable car with a bit of a sporty look which the original was supposed to be in the first place.

My first car was a 1974 (4 door ) Maverick. I bought in 1980 the summer before my senior year in high school. V8 check, bench seat so my girlfriend could sit next to me - check! Aluminum slotted trims - check! Racing stripe on the side - Check! Racing a dodge demon on a wet road, losing traction, missing a telephone pole by inches, ending up in a ditch - check! If you stepped back and looked at the lines ignoring the 4 doors it has a similar shape to the 1st generation Camaros. Good times, good memories.

I am a student working part time making close to 1200 a month, and I ve been needing a car for almost two years now and I m getting close to having enough to pay a car in cash. Should I get a Toyota Camry or an Acura TLX? I ve been looking at these mainly along with a Honda Accord and I m unsure of what to get, I could use a lot advice right now.

It be cool if u could give me a summary of review on my 2000 suburban 1500 LT with 240, 000, a 2004 vw jetta 1. 9 bew tdi with 230, 000 and a Ford F-150 4. 6 with 220, 000 miles on it. I would just love your impute on all three of them

Have a friend with a 07 corolla that just got a recall on his airbag for the same thing. Who made those? He has owned the car since it was new now with still the standard factory trans and second engine 280k miles he took it in yesterday they said they fixed it. Which airbag the driver side or passenger and what was the issue with those ones?

It's a new category like Hyundai Santa Cruz, small lifestyle truck for mountain bikes, dirt bike surfboard etc. It is NOT competing with current models and is never intended as a serious or work trust. It will sell a huge amount of people want a small bed for the odd pickup and don't need an expensive truck.

Hey Scotty. It s not the first time Ford has used the Maverick name on a truck. Back in the 1990 s Ford Australia had an arrangement with Nissan, and they sold a rebadged Nissan Patrol 4WD or SUV as a Ford Maverick. Love your videos. They taught me a lot about car repairs. Thanks from OZ.

Why dont car manufacturers make like a throwback edition of cars that will have modern engine interior etc but will look like those cars from 80s and 90s. Japanese company Mitsuaoka is doing it but kinda have a bad design. If they just make them look like those old 80s celica or mustangs.
