I'd have to say it's a useful video. I personally have had plans to do this for a while. And I'm kinda glad I watched. I'm more of a collision repair guy but it's been about 10 years so it's always a little useful brushing up on a few things I kinda let slide.

I took my calipers off and used a wire wheel on a grinder, a rotozip with wire wheel and then sanded a bit with a multitool at 120 grit. Probably got to a finish and coverage a little better than this but less than Corvette level.

There was still rust on the caliper. Wont that eventually cause problems with the paint? Or will it be fine because now the metal has no contact with oxygen?

It is impossible to keep rust off of calipers and rotors if you you live in the upper Midwest where they use salt brine on the highways in the winter months.

Would this help with keeping the calipers in good condition for a while? Would it protect them at all and is there any benefit besides visual?

I have brand new calipers that haven't been installed yet am I able to just 600 grit sand them brake clean and alcohol them and paint them

Be careful everyone it's a sugestion only soapy water I saw worked faster way faster & toothbrushes & after sandpaper
