Mat’s teamed up with Toyota for a walk around of the upcoming GR GT. He’ll run you through the design, the performance stats, the interior, and all the key things you need to know. He’ll also have a first look at the Lexus LFA Concept. Explore new and used car deals with Carwow: Mat’s having his first look at the GR GT! It’s an all-new sports car that’s due for release in 2027, and Toyota’s invited Mat down for a look around the prototype version. So what have we learned so far Let’s take a closer look In terms of the design, it’s a car where the production process started with the engineers in the wind tunnel, before it was handed over to the designers. As a result, every single vent you see on the outside is real! From the front to the side to the rear, this car is 100% stick of truth certified! What’s more, we believe there to be an active rear wing around the back, although we couldn’t see it in action with this prototype. It’s also covered in GR and GT badges across the exterior, but no Toyota badges. That’s because GR is now an individual sub-brand, so the official name of the car will simply be GR GT - not the Toyota GR GT! When you step into the interior, the first thing you’ll notice are the set of carbon fibre bucket seats. These come fitted with red seat belts, and there are red elements throughout the rest of the cabin - a reflection of this car being a GR development. It comes with a sports steering wheel with a flat bottom, which also has a drive mode selector fitted to it. There’s Alcantara across the dash and roof lining, and there’s also physical buttons below the infotainment screen! We haven’t seen the infotainment screen or digital dials in action yet, although they will be shared in due course. Under the bonnet will sit a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid. We know it will produce more than 650hp and 850Nm, although we don’t have final figures yet. Toyota also claim that the GR GT will have a top speed of at least 199mph - so you can guarantee the final car will exceed 200mph! But the GR GT isn’t the only car Mat’s gone to see - he’ll also be having a look around the all-new Lexus LFA Concept! But what can he reveal about this all-new car You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

Lfa is beautiful, just i dont like electric.
As a car maniac, for me the experience of driving is yes response but also the sound and gear box action.
A driver wants to contol the machine not just press a variable switch with electric round joystick.
I tip my hat to the toyota group as they still have lots of car models and not trying to wedge us in an SUV.
For me an SUV is stale, i could lie down and drive the car with my foot on the steering, it has no soul.
Some will say this model has power.
Yup agree, but for me its a total package and the GR is going in the right path. Thank you again to the maker that still offer cars to have fun.

It used to be that if you wanted to be a camera guy, camera operator, you had to actually know how to film nice and smooth and make sure there's a focus where the focus need to be, and today's you basically wiggle the camera around and move it as fast as you can and you call it a day. I know it is trend and everything going downhill from the moment the mobile phones had ability to film and maybe I have nostalgia for something little bit more professional. not impressed

I don't know exactly what it is but I feel like something is missing with the design of the front. Maybe a badge, or some kind of detail in the hood. I don't know.
I feel the same with the new Ferraris, they all look like they have just running lights and are missing popup headlights somehow.

The price doesn't make sense for this Toyota. For this money, I can buy a Porsche, Aston, or entry-level Ferrari and McLaren. Let's be honest, no one would buy a Toyota over a Ferrari or Porsche. This car should have been priced at 50% of these supercar brands.

Wow American cars just don’t measure up do they. It looks amazing wow this is how you make a sports car not just changing the badges and higher price. I had a Shelby gt500 still was a regular mustang no one ever gave it a second look. Unlike thisbeautiful

I think I got a new halo car, previously I loved the mk4 supra but the new mk5 never really had the same lines that captured my heart initially. Next it was the old and new ford gt's but now if I ever had the money I'd buy this car.

It's not a good-looking car. It power is mediocre. It looks like those GT63 Benz but not as ugly. Get the C8 ZR1X, which may cost less. How does a company that makes the LFA make something like this
reply

Although it’s a very cool car, it’s yet another sports car for the rich, how about making smaller/affordable sports cars for the common people, like we had in the 80s and 90s
reply

For such a Badazz super car the interior could’ve been more drastic. It’s pretty plain. The corvette C8 probably has the best interior for sports cars currently!
reply

So they are bragging about being as fast as a 16 year old corvette please race the C6 ZR1 and C7 ZR1. Price point ain’t bad though would love to see a manuel.

I have never been a fan of 2 seaters. Or even the racing type of cars. But this GR GT is absolutely stunning. And I would get one if given the opportunity.

I honestly think this looks better than any new German sports car other than the 911, their body style hasn’t changed since I was born so it shouldn’t count
reply

Could it be that they r shaking their heads because they can’t understand English and not because they aren’t allowed to divulge any information
reply

Beautiful car. But for the money I’m not touching a Toyota over a Porsche if they’re priced similarly. Which is insane to even think.
reply

Dam, this thing is gonna msrp for 225k but it’s projected to cost between 300-500k on the buyers market goodbye probability of ever owning one
reply

It’s only a Porsche killer if it costs significantly less than a Porsche, if they want LFA money for this toy then they are cooked.
reply

How many of those air flow vents could be real when if makes factory production The new Supra totally changed from concept to production
reply

Easy to say. too expensive and no quality differences too other brands well even more worst about software. good bye Porsche
reply

GR GT, already my new number 1 dream car. The old LFA was a masterpiece. No one cares about the new vacuum cleaner LFA thought
reply

These titles are so misleading. Porsche Killer sounds to me like it beats every Porsche. Maybe name it Faster than a GT3.
