I watched this video, got the parts on ebay, watched it again today and just replaced this doohicky without a hitch. First thing I did was rotate that spring using a screwdriver like you did and wired it to the closest post that sticks up that holds the air filter before I removed any base screws. I used a number 3 phillips screwdriver. Of course got the wrong gasket so I hope it runs ok. 1998 Nissan Frontier, 253k miles and still going.

Ive got a 91 nissan d21 4x4 with the 2. 4 ka24e in it. I just spent over 2k on having the head gasket. water pump. plugs. radiator. oil. antifreeze. and 2 new fuel injectors on it. Ran fine for about 2 weeks then started sputtering like a fouled plug. replaced the plugs and fuel filter in it and it still sputters and lacks power. noticed one of the new injectors is leaking could that cause the sputtering in it? Thanks for any info

Eric, Just so you know, they make special Phillips Drivers for Metric ISO screws. The American version, while it does somewhat fit, is not quite the same. Also if they are really tight, try a Phillips Pozidrive tip (with the little serations on it). it grips better.

I just saw the Actron CP9690on one of your vids. and showed that it'll test coolent temperature. I just bought one on EBAY for my 1985 Ford with OBDI. It'll be better than my Snap-on scanner which doesn't test digital readings like OBDII. I've been wanting to test things like CTS temps. and O2 readings etc. THANKS!

Eric, the wax inside the Fast Idle Solenoid expands when cold and contracts as it gets hot and liquidifies. So the plunger is extended while cold making the engine idle fast until it comes up to temperature when the wax contracts and the plunger shortens.

and people could just hold the gas pedal down a little when the engine is cold. too many gizmos to pamper people. when we didnt have the luxury of electricity for about 5000 years.

My 2003 Nissan frontier is doing the something. I am unable to find the fast Idle Solenoid. Where did you find yours and what is the part #. Nissan has one but it is expensive, it may be 165. 00.

I have an 87 D21 pickup. VG30i v6 5 speed. I cant find this valve anywhere and my truck just started idling at 2k last night in cold weather after it warmed up. Im suspecting this
