Same as always. As soon as any car comes out, it is put up against competition and tested, and woala, it wins. Based on the testers feeling while driving. If you really wanna know which one is the best, test them all out, and then decide. You cant make a decision which car to buy based on YT videos? If so, how did you pick your wife, based on her name, or the shoe number?

For me, everything is about balance. the Focus may be 10-20% more performance oriented than the R, but the R's interior is twice as good as the Focus's. If you were to go on a road trip, you most likely will choose the R over the focus. for Daily driving, the R would be more comfortable day to day. Put a stage 1 APR tune, and you will probably have the focus over on performance.

rs3 and golf r are almost identical on track times. rs is faster then both but has the worst interior. as a daily I take the golf. as a track car I take the focus. rs3 I way more money for only a slight straight line acceleration jump over the golf r which can be fixed for a couple grand in tuning.

Is funny how this idiots do car test and don't take into consideration one of the must important things in a car TIRES, the ford comes standard with Michelin pss, the golf r tires are laughable in comparison, put those tires on the golf and the rs3 and will make a huge difference.

Golf R and RS3 have Haldex AWD systems, which means they are fwd bios, Focus on the other hand, has a proper AWD system. Sure, they r both more comfortable and higher quality cars in general but as far as driving goes, I choose Focus RS anyday, but only this model, MK3.

It's too bad the Focus RS doesn't have a rear diff cooler like it does on the front because when the sensors detect it getting a little hot the rear diff shuts down. then you're left with a front wheel drive. Way to go Ford!

the focus rs came out here in South Africa early July and they decided to make it R700 000 (ZAR) Which makes it $10 000 (USD) more expensive than the Golf and roughly the same price as the Audi RS. what do you choose then?

The Ford's- interior looks cheap compared to the other two cars. The Audi is too expensive for my liking. But the Golf R is just perfect i would rather have better comfort and quality than 50 more hp.

But we all know now that the engine in the Ford is a flimsy bag of crap that will probably only last the warranty period if your'e lucky and I know, so as usual the Golf is the thinking mans choice.
