Hey Ryan. Thanks for doing a review on Total Gym. While I am no fan of Chuck, I am completely sold on my Total Gym. Best piece of all in one home equipment I have ever owned. I've owned Soloflex, Bowflex, Weider, and a no name in the past 40 yrs. While I would love to have the muscle mass you do bud, and especially those friggin amazing bicep balloons you rock, for a man of my age I am well toned. I get my heart pumping, I get an amazing stretch and muscle workout. Using my TG every other day, sometimes 2 day rest. The key is slow movement, not fast quick reps. Folks, these days, few aren't, if you are on a tight budget, you can pick up very slightly used TG devises for a fraction of the cost of new. Do your homework and save some $. Thanks again Stud. Stay Strong, Be Well, Keep Safe, Rock On!

I was expecting him to rip this piece of equipment a new one. But once again, he tosses in a few laughs but then gives credit where it is due. I own a Total Gym to supplement my other, more traditional movements. Sure, I wont get jacked from being on this thing but it does serve purpose. Check out vids on how people have -hacked- this to allow for more weight, more control and more moves. Skyler King is one such dude. Its really impressive what this CAN do for some hard-to-tackle muscles. It may not be a cure-all but it is certainly at a higher level than the geriatric community that it means to market to.

Ya I tried to order your pre-workout. After receiving nothing for 2 weeks, I finally emailed to find out what happened. Nic responded the next day and said my order was missing an apt number. I replied immediately, said I dont live in an apt and once again provided my address. Now it baffles me as to why no one emailed to get a clarification. anyway, here I am a week later and still no product. Just emailed Nic and again and told him to keep the pre and refund my $$$. Ill drive 15min to the local GNC and grab something off the shelf.

Indeed you can achieve a great workout from a total gym. With our local gym still closed I decided to purchase the total gym fitplus back in December. Good sale price. I've trained -conventionally- since my college days but I'm very pleased with the workout I'm obtaining and the exercise options you can achieve with a TG. Sturdy solid unit with no racking. Added bonus, Chuck Norris now sends me Christmas cards.

Back when i was married and ended up with an eating disorder from trying to get any attention from my now ex wife i used a total gym. Actually did pretty good. I avoided the anorexic look by staying slightly swole. This is not a dig on people with eating disorders. This is my true life experience.

yo - you ever workout with a sandbag? I feel like that is a brutal piece of equipment that doesn't get enough love. It's awkward and you can't push the same weight so it's an ego killer as well. I use it on my off days and it destroys me.
Be interested to see you do a video on it if you use it.

I've had my Total gym for about 20 years. I still use it. I love it. I have another weight set I use also in my workouts but if you have little space in your home I would recommend getting the total gym. It takes getting use to but once you do you can have a good workout.

You had mentioned once that hurting knees is probably just weak legs. I just really started legs seriously and that-s my issue. Knees kill me but leg muscles are fine. I wear
sleeves. Any advice to limit knee pain or do I just work through it? Thanks

haha I bought one 20 years ago. never really used it til lately. I load it up and do lateral arm raises. and side chest pulls. then load more, get on and do back pulls ( with an extra 80llbs on)
other than that its a bit shit really haha.

Sorry about your experience with the Total gym I've actually had the opposite experience. Yes I've cherry picked what works best for me But it does give a good workout. Yea I pair it with a rower and kettlebells But it does its job.
