Great for Qualcomm!
The power of the current Apple M1 is not fully revealed because most of apps & AAA games don't support it! Just wait for it to be supported to be amazed! I wish the success only to ARM chips because it deserve it. It will help us pulling us fromt he nvdia & intel greed swamp! Nvida & intel producing slow advancement tech with compatability issues products for insane price. Nvidia & intel are the reason I hated my MacBook Pro & switch back to windows!
I'm grateful to God to live & see these chip exist! This Apple M chips moments is actually as the moment as first iPhone released!
I'm pretty sure not only me going to change to MacBook Pro later this year when MBP reveals the beast inside, most of the people are If the PC industry not going to cach the ARM PC version race!

These same info graphics have come up in 3 different Computex videos that youtube has recommended tonight. I wonder why it was a canned demo this time, when they let you film your hands on experience (including the crash LOL) a few months ago.
Kinda begs the question as to whether the experience would be the same. (I guess it's only been a few months, to be fair)

So FHD vs QHD, and, 1809 vs 1903, yeah I don't just smell a rat, I see it right In front of me, this lie based marketing needs to be brought to law, constantly being allowed to lie only reduces innovation because they won't have a reason to Innovate, look at Intel over the past 5 years, not competition in the desktop CPU space has made them lazy

I'm not sure if this is a good move. I mean intel will start selling their 10nm mobile CPU with an upgraded integrated graphics. AMD will be also introducing 7nm to laptops. Don't get me wrong but the thing competing with a current gen i5 and will be released next year. Who will buy that?

I would love to see in future ARM based PC's for hardcore gaming, heavy video editing etc. When you have ARM based smartphone and ARM based PC you have a lot more posibilites, developers can build universal apps working on any ARM based device you have.

they should release it without waiting for the 5g modern. very little users needs modern in laptop because it needs separate sim card. tethering from phone is convenient enough.
5g network is too expensive to be deployed anyway

I didn't get to the resolution part that comments are telling about, so don't forget that these benchmarks are on different OS versions too. Having in mind miraculous Microsoft patches and updates, it surely plays are role.

Well, it does have double the cores, a 7nm process vs 14nm, and is an older I5 vs a brand new chip. let's see how it compares with 7nm Ryzen mobile, which should be out later this year, that would be a lot fairer.

Compares 1080p screen with a 2k screen on the i5. and compares the i5 on an older version of windows 1809 instead of the same that the qualcomm is on. Their numbers are not trustworthy lol

Hope to see these various ARM chips make it into -Raspberry Pi like- SBC's. These have more than enough power to be a -Desktop Replacement- for the vast majority.
