Extreme Early Winter at the Cabin in the Woods of Canada

Winter has hit Canada early, with frigid temperatures far below normal, snow that won't melt and lakes that are already completely ice covered, much earlier than normal - we're in for another extreme winter at my log cabin in the wilderness. My Skidoo is helps me gather enough firewood for the bathhouse and the log cabin, which is going to be helpful in the coming months as I prepare the cabin for two full time occupants. Speaking of that, I start working on the small shed addition on the back of the cabin which will house a storage area and a composting toilet so that my wife doesn't have to go outside to use the outhouse in the middle of the night all winter. My off grid outdoor meat locker is working fine with the cold weather, so I take out 2 lbs of ground bear to make bear soup with sourdough bread. Cali, my Golden Retriever, loves this weather and now that she's ready for cold weather, she finds the cabin too hot and spends most of her indoor time sleeping against the front door of the cabin on the cool stones

Brings back golden memories of my childhood in Canada. The days spent sliding downhill on a tobagon, the snow fights, the snow men that we made, caroling in the snow. Canada, without any doubt is the most beautiful country in the world. The last wilderness, the last frontier. Someday, I would like to sell everything I own and do what you are doing. Off grid with a snow mobile, I think you need to get a team of dogs n slide especially if its always has a long season of snow.
The Dogs would fit the off grid better, but youd need to harvest more fish n smoke it for them to eat. So snowmobile is more economical

I know this is weird but the only way I can fall asleep is by imagining being in a cabin in winter at Christmas time, I live in the Caribbean and have a obsession for this type of life, so Thts why I came here to see it lol
