Making a Traditional Swedish Hayrack (hssja) Princess: I just want to say Erik, if you get any criticisms of you or anything you're doing, on the internet here by people I mean, please ignore it and stay strong and brave with heart and passion - because what you're doing is fantastic and unusual. Very very normal. It's unusual for these days. I do the same thing as a mum. Believe in yourself - do you want to know the truth Erik? You are better than us here on the internet - you really really are! Not for bad pride, but for trusting yourself, I'm saying this. You don't lack confidence but internet and media and popularity has a way of wrecking the good that came in the first place. Same in Hollywood, even when film first started. If it feels too hurtful anytime, please trust yourself and turn off camera and do it cos you love it and the old days heritage and do it for you and nature. You'll never lose your passion that way. Understand you like the support, chat and interactions - social, but the politics today and high tech media are really trying to curb initiative and identity and old fashioned nationalism. Musicians fought it - I studied music - I'm one - in old days - 1700s, 1800s - and it's powerful being brave. Holding to something greater than we see now, greater than yourself. But amazing what one being can do. E. g. Trump. You have the same courageous, heart spirit. All greatness begins there. Praying for you. Love what you do. Take care. Don't lean on the internet money for your income ok. Plus, internet makes money on what you're doing, and they're not working as hard as you are ok. They're using you for money.

Hello Erik,
Amazing work you are doing! I really admire your work ethic and dedication to using only hand tools. It takes a lot of patience to do it that way.
I am also 19 years old and have just begun preparations this past summer to build my own log cabin.
I look forward to following along and seeing how your cabin progresses.
Good luck and best wishes from Michigan, USA

I was doing this in Norway in the 70s. A bit different as we used poles like this but with metal wires going between the poles instead of wood, 4-5 rows vertically, but the end result looked like this. very enjoyable work helping my grandparents.

Just amazing to see you work, what a great change from cells, iPads and a lot of the new stuff that is making a generation so dependant on new technology, and missing what is a beautiful thing to live in a more down to earth way KEEP ON SOLDIER

Our loose hay barn was like a log home but not tightly fitted between each row, maybe 1. 5 gap between to allow air flow. It had a long overhang to keep weather out. Snow could drift in but very little. Latter we used it for bales.

Good evening Erik.
Is the log cabin moving forward?
Where are you?
maybe problems?
I hope everything's fine for you.
and your end-of-year exams.
I hope it all went well.
