A simple rub makes this most beefy-tasting cut of meat even better! John: I had a small tri-tip in the freezer and we are under house arrest and need good ideas for meals since we are making three meal a day and washing dishes like we are in a school cafeteria. I used this rub for the meat and it was fantastic. My wife is not a fan of tri-tip, but she loved how this one came out. Now I am thinking on how to deal with the leftovers. Gonna make some sandwiches with a horseradish sauce of some sort. Maybe some beef & noodle thing like a stroganoff of some type.

Nicely done, sir. Nicely done. As a fellow SoCal lover of cooking, I grill a tri-tip for friends at least a couple times per month. I do things a little differently with a semi wet rub but will give your rub a go next time. Thanks for the great content, love the casual, natural, off the cuff flow.

love tri tip and you cut it THIN the way it should be cut. good job. I marinade in teriyaki garlic and lime and then dry it out and do the sesame oil + dry rub. yumbut yours was too well done.
