I ate at least half of this when we shot the episode. Need I say more? HERE'S THE RECIPE: AzraelThanatos: You know, I've made a mexican lasgna quite differently. I tend to skip the pasta for it, using some of the larger soft tortillas from the store instead. I make a taco meat with either ground beef or shredded chicken, use some of the mexican blends of shredded cheeses, and the enchilada sauce as part of it for the major layers. I add some olives to the top of it ontop of the cheese when I layer for baking while everything is already hot. Serve it with shredded cheese, pico, and sour cream.

I made this. It turned out ok. I will be making it again. Next time I am going to use taco seasoning instead of fajita seasoning. I will dice fresh tomatoes instead of using canned or use San Marzano. I will leave the garlic out. I will use fresh mozzarella and parm reggianno or Mexican cheese blend. I liked the concept, I just have to put my own spin on it. I have to figure out how to make more Mexican/add more Mexican flavor.

You NEED to be generous with seasoning with lasagna, if you season the meat and sauce to taste between steps you'll end up screwing the end product, especially if you are making a white sause for it. I don't exactly know why but that's what my mom taught me back in who-knows-when, and it's served me well. Lasagne is one of those things you'd do well to use a good recipe for the first time you make it, and go from there.

Im sure your Mexican lasagna is good. I have a much better much different recipe. I use chicken, chilli powder, cumin, diced tomatoes, ricotta cheese, shredded cheese and get this tortillas instead of pasta. 9x13 pan layer up. Oh and cilantro for those who like it

Brother, just turn off the stove if it is too hot when you're putting in those noodles. LOL, you're killing me! Mexicans everywhere are. Hungry after watching this! You should really re-name this Latin lasagna just to be politically correct.

Why does it make me happy that you use the skillet most of the time. Its my favorite go too pan. Im so glad when i became an adult i got a 3 piece set from my aunt when I moved into my first apt. I will die for my pans

I don't know how you can eat such hot foods. Can your tongue still feel anything? R u rushing coz of time? I personally can't eat or drink anything steaming hot like that. Yet I always see chefs from cooking shows do it.

Hey from Canada, I made your deconstructed Mexican Lasagna, it was sooooooooo yummy. I used canned diced tomatoes with garlic in olive oil because I didnt have regular, breath mints come on the side of my dish LOL

I made this and it turned out great. More importantly, it has changed the way I cook and construct traditional lasagna ingredients. Love the different textures and crunchies.
