Not sure why y'all brought games you didn't actually like this time around. You yourselves admit you spent way more time than you maybe should have dunking on Far Cry 5, and if that's how you feel about it, why give it a full slot here? It seemed like Vermintide 2 could have taken that spot, or A Way Out if any of you four had the time to play it.
In fact, not having the time to play it was probably the only reason A Way Out didn't get brought, because otherwise it would have kicked the shins in of most of what you did bring. And I think you know that. Maybe a guest spot would have been the right move for this, since Simone and Jenna have played the whole game that we know of.
tl; dr, this is usually about good games, and it wasn't this time around. I'm not angry, just disappointed.

Re: Sea Of Theives loot box potential
Just throw in a chance of having every treasure chest you turn in contain an article of clothing or a weapon cosmetic upgrade. You don't need to establish a separate whole loot box system. It's half built in already. Plus it would be a carrot to dangle in front of players.
Also I'm all for Justin's Idle Minute to become a recurring segment.

I've not really gotten in to playing any of the current crop of battle royale games, but I'm really surprised that Fortnite has become so popular as a spectator/streamer game, to my eye it's just so unpleasant to watch being played. I don't have the words to really describe it but the way the character models move and animate in the world feels like a late -'00s shovelware MMO.

I want to thank Justin for pointing out that fc5 didn't have anything to really add to the discussion about the political climate in america, how that contributes to these kinds of cults, and the people who live in MT (and in West Virginia.
I've just deleted a whole essay's worth of my thoughts from here, but don't worry, I'll re-start my blog some day. :/

With the Spring Blossom Event, the new gear (including a fan designed sword, and a new monster since launch, SUBNAUTICA should really be in the running for Game of the Quarter.
Edit: I just realized The Spring Blossom Event started in April, so it's not covered in this episode. But that means if April is a slow month, Fortnite -wink- has set a precedent.

Every episode since Monster Hunter World didn't make the cut for its month, I've felt _lost_ and _confused_. Can we turn back time? Can we do it all over again, and do it _right_ this time? I'm living in the Bad Timeline, and it's weirding me out.

FC5 sounds like it-s not great, and I don-t think I-m gonna play this one. I-ve played a couple others and somehow got deep into Primal for a bit. Even then, Primal was not even close to how violent they describe 5 as.

like for far cry the bizarre hateful violence would be fine in a game like Doom but in the context of the game when they try to have -human- characters it just comes off really weird

I loved Far Cry 5. I respectfully disagree with Justin, everything about the game drew me in. I absolutely felt compelled to do things and felt reason to progress.
