Awesome. Liking the look of it so far. The sea looks alot more expansive in game than it does on that revealed map. I liked that the minor settlement battle actually had some settlement, though I'd like a bit more. Some more structures to form chokepoints would really help defenders of them, though aesthetically they are better than those battles in TWW1. Though I do have concerns again that the pace of the battles is too fast. The claim that the battles with larger armies would last longer didn't hold true as you pit two almost full stacks against each other at the end of the video, in a battle that lasted just shy of 5 minutes. I don't expect any open field battle to last longer that 8, which is disappointing as the battles are too fast paced and chaotic to enjoy and appreciate the great animations and models without saving the replay and watching it back.

It looks to me like Skaven will be incredible against the AI. Their cities are invisible, and their armies can move in ambush stance. If you have played any recent Total War you know the AI only ever attacks if it has an overwhelming like 90% chance to win advantage. So normally you can only ever either attack their cities or try to camp in a forest for many turns to ambush. But with this the AI will constantly be wandering weak armies into your territory an you will kill them easily. In fact i'm worried Skaven will be too easy to win for a player that's any good at this game in single player.

I really hope CA returns to historical game settings. I'm a huge TW fan and am extremely happy at the success of the Warhammer games, but have zero interest in Warhammer.
Edit: I've just been informed that they are planning a historical game and WH 2 is more of an expansion, not a full title. Glad to hear.

I always cringe when elves get ahhnilated since it takes so long for them to develop unlike skaven. plus they are supposedly less in number than all the other races. Why are the high elves made to look like fodder in all of these presentation videos by factions that focus on using fodder hordes?

I just hope they will add in bury-away-animations for those timed summoned Skaven units, it just makes no sense that they are dieing like zombies when running out of time!
Same for the summoned Lizardmen units of course.

CA is an amazing company. So happy to have supported them since Shogun 1. The TW games have been my favorite series without any question for almost 20 years now. Just superb. I'm super giddy for Warhammer 2!

I don't care about naval battles but I want to build ships to travel by sea not just sliding an army to the ocean and that becomes a ship that makes no sense.

What a joke, High Elves get absolutely smashed, even in battles that were in their favour. HE are so under-powered.
