I just recently got into Eurorack. It's fantastic. I started with the NiftyBUNDLE from CRE8 Audio. The case has MIDI which is flippin awesome. I use a hybrid setup with a DAW. The DAW (Reaper) gives me more functionality. I don't have a hardware sequencer. But I can use one of the sequencer plugins in Reaper via MIDI. The other nice thing about using a DAW is recording. I have things running into my patch bay and then out to my audio interface. The output of the interface runs to a rack mount amp and some speakers. This makes it easy to record things. Besides the Eurorack I have some keyboards with built in sound and a couple of MIDI controllers. Besides things like a sequencer I found out that my DAW has an LFO. so I can use that on the Eurorack via MIDI since I currently only have one LFO in my rack. It's fun to run MIDI files through the Eurorack and have it play a song.
Synths are so much fun. Even though my musical ability is limited; I can still make cool sounds. I sometimes use the term auditory art rather than music.

I'm in the process of designing/building a big modular analog synthesizer using some custom Yamaha ICs from a non-functional Yamaha CS15D analog Synthesizer, the new modular synth will have at least 40 or so modules in it including an LCD oscilloscope and an analog 16-step sequencer with vari-clock, as well as a midi-to-cv converter, I'm planning on having 8-VCOs in it as well as a selection of VCFs, a Fixed Filter Bank, Noise Source, some VCAs, a Tube VCA, two Transient Generators, some EMS VCS-3 circuits, a VCLFO, and a few other modules, there's also going to be a module that has four line-outs so you can set the synth up for Quadraphonic sound.

Your honesty and sympathy make this video very enjoyable to follow. I do not know the modular world and I wanted to begin to deepen the topic. I have an idea that I will clearly have to investigate. But I want to emphasize one thing: this is one of the few times that I happen to follow a man who admits that he does not have complete control of the various equipment he is using. Generally everyone tries to seem completely in control of the situation. This attitude of safety in my opinion does not help those who are learning and believe that they are not suitable, so congratulations on your honesty and have fun with your music.

I-m having problems getting used to messing with built in sequencers (or any sequencer)they are all little weird computers. I AM a musician, went to college for it blah, you say you are not a musician, but I-ll bet you are good at programming your stuff. Being a musician isn-t making learning the ins and outs of synths any easier for me, I just know what the notes do haha

Did I see a zoom r16 there at the start? (Then it disappeared later. I used to have one of those units. favouring to go computerless for all my music and recording as well. More often than not lately I'm using my Boss MicroBR for recording Super tiny little thing that gets the job done.
Anyway, great vid! Love the fart mario theme at the beginning: V

Your particular studio can really put out the juice in a different way than all other studios can, and you've got the understanding of how it works. You really have sound that people want. It's beautiful and you know it already like I do. Good work! Put out frequency and let people hear it! Too much ugly in the world, time to Release Beautiful! Go For It!

Well done video man! Down to earth, sincere, passionate of what you like to do and not too much of -hi-tech- intelectual BS. I think it's great for beginners and intermediate -modular - people. Ah, the Music, and yes as someone commented previously, -from 35 years ago- but you do what you like to do, and that is well presented. 4 1/2 - stars!

Nice setup. 20+ years ago I dreamed about having the 303, 808, 909, etc. I only ever had a 707. I have absolutely no concept of musical composition, so I eventually abandoned my dreams. I could never even produce a tune in Reason.
Give yourself some credit, you've made some nice beats. You have talent, so don't short change yourself.

You know what-s funny lol. I like doing this too, but I use fruity loops studio, pretty much all in a monitor. But would not mine having this set up. Great equipment. I use a Korg mini keyboard. And have an acoustic upright piano (Story and Clark) and a classical guitar (Takamine G Series)

Dude you legit need to make an album Clint you had me and my son nodding our heads when you were playing with that Euro rack brother.
It's great it reminds me of the type of electronic music I listened to when I would stay up on my computer all night in the early 00s.
