Those lithium coin cells have incredible shelf life; 7 years at full specs.
Ah, the simplest of piezo sounders. I was kind-of excited about the phaser at first, but _now I remember_ why I never bought any noisy gadgets in the 90s. XD The switches are probably those little PCB-mount buttons that were in everything back then; everything that wasn't advertised as having microswitches, anyway. My Atari ST mice had them. They're all right in, say, a video player or anything else that's only pressed occasionally, but in a mouse, they're positively abominable. I mean. I sort-of got used to them, but they gave me RSI like nothing else.
Was that a Star Trek/Star Wars crossover joke? -Force-. :)
I've had mice which didn't want to move properly no matter how clean, too. Thinking back, I think my ST mice must have been like that from nearly new. GEM (which is a truly horrible system, by the way, and the first GUI I ever encountered) had menus which opened the moment the mouse pointer rolled over them. They were always opening when I was just trying to get the mouse around the screen. I think I must have had to force the mouse to move the pointer around the screen. I had a much better time when I got a trackball with good tracking, not to mention microswitches. Even so, my first optical mouse was an absolute revelation! :D
hnnnnn LCARS! There is not enough LCARS in my life right now. :-
I once had a mouse with the scroll wheel on the side. As a 3-button user, it was pretty good. But the wheel on that mouse was a little stiffer than average. But a button on the side works just as well for me.
-I have a secret wish for a brightly colored kids keyboard. -
Interesting. that tablet in the leaflet looks far better than the one kids tablet I saw in the 90s. It had a really fat pen tip, about 3mm thick, and quite a long-travel microswitch behind it.
Oh man, UT! I played more of that than any other FPS ever. There was one time I was in a tower and a rocket came up, aimed perfectly at the window. I figured I could just-about survive a rocket explosion in the little room. It was a real gut-wrenching visceral moment when, as it passed me, I saw it was a nuke. XD Did my own share of damage with those, too. Couldn't play it now, though.

I did have one of those coupes as a small child and I loved it. Because I was a very large child (I was like 11 pounds at birth, I-m tall now but if you saw me at that age next to other kids you would think I was going to be over 7 feet tall, I grew out of it fast but refusing to be deterred I remember squeezing myself in there over the course of like 10 minutes and scooting along with my toes because I had no room to move my legs. In order to get out I would have to knock the thing over and slowly army crawl my way out. Good times.

I remember back when I had a windows mobile device before the iphone and android came out. It was about the size and appearence of an ice cream sandwhich. The screen was the size of the original iphone. Landscape keyboard. I can't tell you how many times I tried to use it as a mouse by mistake. lol That would be interesting if you could use your phone as a mouse. Granted they are a lot bigger but thinner now so it wouldn't work as well.

I'm shocked!
This second episode of Three Weird Mice is more perfect than it has any right to be!
Starting off with a good gimmick, so-so mouse. Followed by an average gimmick, yet modern mouse but Joysticky clickers; finishing off with a kids mouse that OWNS in Unreal Tournament! :D
C'est magnifique! XD

I think those Little Tikes Cozy Coupes are pretty well known around the world. They existed here in the UK, at least. I had one when I was a young kid. I remember running around in it, pretending I was in The Flintstones and pulling my feet up to hurtle down small hills. Good times.

In regards to the Boss pedal mouse, if someone made a more ergonomic shaped one with actual programmable turning knobs and clickable mini joystick and even a functional -pedal- that could be programmed that would actually make a pretty kick ass mouse.

That last mouse (or very similar model) starred in the movie -Antitrust- from 2001 - I immidiatly recognized it! I must rewatch that movie in near future after 15 years or so to be completly sure, that it was exactly the same. Greetings from Poland!

The Little Tikes 'drawing tablets' look almost exactly like the mid-90s Sega Pico pen-trackpad and I suspect they're probably exactly the same type of thing as opposed to anything actually resembling a drawing tablet even by 90s standards.

Possibly unrelated but we once had a Hot Wheels slot car game a while ago. I think the controllers for it plugged into the PS/2 ports, which was interesting. Pity that means they wouldnt plug into the Hot Wheels PC.

The last remaining guitar/music store in my town has a BOSS DS-1 mouse in use on their main point-of-sale computer. I make a comment about it every time I'm in there buying new strings for my bass. Every 10 years or so.
