LGR - Bombshell - PC Game Review

3D Realms has a new game after how many years? Color me intrigued! Bombshell has risen from the ashes of Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction, bringing lots of action and upgradable weapons. This review was made using preview code supplied by 3D Realms, version 1. 0. 10182, which includes the launch day patch. My critiques and issues with the gameplay take this into account

Maybe it's because I rarely play new stuff these days. Maybe it's because I mostly play classics; but, these days I'm just as interested in the business and legal when it comes to video/computer games. perhaps this makes me an oddball; but hey their just games, and imho 90% have no/little value (except to spure on those that make exceptional titles. I would be interested in an overview or extended episode about what's happened to LGR's beloved developer. I promise to get on patreon and do my part to help, whether or not such an episode is a possibility.

First of all, I love your dedication to Duke Nukem (all of it, i didn't played the games but I think that does not matter because I have a bunch of questions so.
Would you think that Duke would fit better in the Bombshell Game/ Do you think that Shelly should have more character to better carry the game? and
What is the quintessence that Far Cry Blood Dragon has but DNF misses, or does DNF even misses it? I really like your ending sentence of your DNF Review so I got curious.

this looks like it could be so much better if it was FPS and we could take a closer look at the guns, what's the point of that big ass revolver with 3 barrels if we can't even see while playing the game? Or a first person view of an execution with the robotic arm, and I don't know if that robotic arm by itself is a weapon, but if it isn't, it's a wasted potential, that kinda summons the game, wasted potential.

For the right price it seems like a decent game. The protagonist and the graphics are pretty cool even if the level design itself is bland. The gameplay looks smooth with plenty to shoot and good gunplay. Too bad the RPG elements weren't implemented better, could've made the game more interesting.
I'll probably pick it up if I can find it heap. Another great review, man!

And that's they way you do a review. Honesty. We the viewers are intelligent enough to realize that these are LGR's opinions and not everyone is going to agree. Many watching this may still go out and buy the game and like it, like it a lot. So let's keep this going Interwebs. There are just way too many sell outs we don't need more. Thank you LGR.

Generic butt-rock/metal soundtrack, generic Diablo 3 clone visuals, generic weapon selection, generic -tough girl- stereotype sure to result in endless bad press from feminists, generic AAA gaming release, riddled with crashes and bugs. Wow, sometimes I'm glad I am too broke to partake in modern gaming.

To be fair, I hear Gearbox didn't stop Duke Nukem Reloaded. The people working on it wanted to be paid to make it, while the agreement was to make a free game. Gearbox of course, turned them down so they went to work on ROTT, a game they could actually be paid to make.

Hopefully, Ion Maiden will be far better. It's gonna be a First Person Shooter, made with the Build engine. I always wanted Bombshell to be an FPS. So why not give it a shot sooner or later? Luckily, that's what 3D realms thought when making Ion Maiden. Will it be any good?

It doesn't look too bad. I expect to be more one of the kinds of people to pick it up when it goes down in price. I also look forward to their future games. This had a lot of promise, and I feel like they are going in the right direction.

It would be nice if you did some side by side comparisons with the games you say do -it- better. Would you demonstrate what punchy combat looks like, for example? Could you at least mention those games so I could look it up and see?
