How did The United States plan to fight the British Empire before WW2?
video description
On a side, in this video and the one on the War of 1812 you refer to -The Republicans- when you talk about political parties. This will lead someone not versed in American history to conclude you are referring to the Republican Party that exists today. You should correct this and start referring to the party as the Democratic Republicans which was what they called themselves at the time. The party was a result of the feud between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson over the role of the federal government and republican in that sense meant supporting states rights. The republican bit was dropped with the election of Andrew Jackson and they have been the Democratic Party ever since. The Republicans of today were created in the 1850s after the collapse of the Whig Party over the issue of slavery. The way you phrase things in your videos you make it sound like the republicans existed in 1812 which is not the case. The Federalist Party opposed the War of 1812 and it led to their demise. Just wanted to set the record straight on that one.\r\n

I think something that was missed in this video is that the U. S. was a completely different nation than they are now. For instance, prior to WWII, the U. S. was significantly more isolationist than they are now, with many Americans still holding up George Washington's Farewell Address to the nation about the dangers of foreign entanglements as proper American policy. The realty is that if nobody is an ally, than everyone else are potential adversaries, and so you should have a plan to deal with them, A. K. A. the multi color war plans that were concocted. This idea is foreign to most people, as they don't fully understand the ramifications of courses of isolation among countries. However, in accordance with the statement, -where goods don't cross borders, armies will-, wars and preparation for wars are the logical end result of isolationism.

The British did not develop plans THAT WE KNOW OF. One would be truly foolish to think they did not exist, especially in the wake of WWI when so many in Britain advocated -Copenhagening- the US Navy before it grew too big. Britain was spent, so they surrendered supreme control at sea without a fight, something that would not have been done without WWI, and accepted parity at sea with the USA at the Washington Naval Conference. The British still hold many documents from the WWI period as state secrets. You'd be foolish to assume their conversations as to how to attack the United States were not among them if they have not already been destroyed.

if the empire had made a plan you wouldn't know about it. it would of been vastly impressive though and extremely well thought out with a great many contingencies. if one thing britain had going for it and still has even today is the out of the box thinking/smarts to overcome extreme odds, imagine the british fleet in one place how large it was and topping it off all the colonies supplying it along with those colonies also creating more ships and so on as a constant stream. america would have been blocked at every single point and if they could not win a land battle they would of been starved out completely.

The Canadian purchase of Vermont for increased Syrup production spread distaste between the two neighbours, riots in major US cities took place over Vermont. Canadian artillery was placed along the border, in response America did the same. The rapid militrazation of the border caused a new cold war between the two, negotiations went underway with France as a mediator. Negotations proving uneventful, American forces invaded Vermont starting what is known as. The Syrup Wars.

The Monroe doctrine is funny because it was mostly aimed at the British, who had little interest I expanding their sphere in the Americas given they were already in control of a large chunk and most of South America was allied, only the US, Mexico and the French speaking areas weren't. Even more ironically is that America's tiny navy couldn't couldn't police such a doctrine meaning the British actually became the primary enforcers of the doctrine

It's this simple,
America are bigger and have better weapons,
But then again so did Germany during the battle of Britain were Britain stood alone and beat Germany,
Also Britain nuked America twice in war games when America knew we were coming and could do nothing about it,
Also. Our royal marines did a war games training exercise with the navy seals and forced the US navy seals to surrender,
Also we have Gurkhas

So Canada's plan was to storm the US where most people own guns. smart what a genius plan not only fight our military stationed in the north but also fight every civilian too. Also by the time the US boarders touched 2 oceans any thought of a naval attack would be a futile effort a new D-day but 10k to 1.

The American Republican Party started in the 1850s and Lincoln was the first Republic President ever! Your documentary falsely claims that -Republicans- were in office in the early 19th century? Get your facts straight! You're indoctrinating people with inaccurate information.

Established Titles is about as valuable as buying stars or the land on the moon, which is to say completely worthless and not legally binding in any way. It's a straight up scam and the Scottish government said so. If you thought pushing RAID is bad this is 100x worse.

The statement that -it wasn't until the American republicans came to power that. - as the predicate for the war of 1812 is a bit unclear as it sounds like you intend to imply a specific partt that came to power, yet there was not Republican party at that time.

Great video but -American Republicans- was not a term used back then and you made it seem like whatever group you were referring to was the reason for the war of 1812. In a world of harsh partisanship you should be more clear with your historical facts

Britain knew that America was far too powerful to take on and could easily take over most of its colonies probably even faster than the Japanese did in the Pacific, which is why they never really tried to pick any fights in the Americas.

It's funny how the colors of the plans were determined, making one wondering what a color would be picked for a potential war between US and African countries.
