Scotty, Im not so sure you know a lot about Peugeot. Heres the thing: True, FIATs sell poorly in the US, but its not like they do much better worldwide, so no shocker there. Peugeot on the other hand? They are among the largest automobile companies worldwide along with Toyota Motor Corporation and Volkswagen. I believe if they listen to the US market well enough, and they set up their dealerships in a highly productive matter, they have some potential here. And on top of that, they actually were decently reliable cars mechanically speaking. Only problem is, the dealerships proved less reliable when regarding brining in replacement parts from France, hence why I added in as long as they set up their dealerships in a more productive matter. I for one am looking forward to their comeback as they are very unique automobiles from the rest of the competition.

If the German brands can sell in the states don't see why Peugeot can't. They tend to be more reliable nowadays and personally I think they are a lot more stylish. Maybe they aren't quite as great for driving experience although it depends on the car. I think they need a truly amazing car to get a proper foothold in the US market and at the moment I don't think they have a class leading car although many models are excellent. If I was Peugeot I would focus more on Canada with its large french heritage and french speaking population that would seem like a better area to get a foothold in North America because they may be more accepting of a French brand. Focus on that one area and if successful may expand down into the USA.

Here in the UK, a lot of people rebuild mini engines. I have a friend on Facebook who posted images of the rebuild He did with his son, who's 13 years old or so. You can buy every tiniest little part for it for cheap or build a really good car for a lot more money. It's like lego for big boys: ) The craziest thing is you can also build a mini rally car with 4 pot calipers. Just google mini sport to see you can buy the whole car in parts.

Actually this car is famous here in Europe, some people prefer to buy sedans rather than SUVs. I sat in one and its quality is better than a Volkswagen's. I was suprised and thought if it's a rip off, but I don't think so. Peugeot's quality is getting better and better. You should buy one, but only if the rear seats' leg room don't matter for you: . (I'm not a French-car guy, but honestly, this car is amazing)

Parts on the Peugeot in 2023 are all generic, and they'd probably all be electric and using industry standard parts. It's gonna be cheaper to maintain than a Tesla that's for sure. The whole car industry outside of FIAT-Crysler/GM & Ford/Tesla are going for industry standards in the future and stop making their own parts like the white goods industry has done before it (It's just a tech trend in Europe)

I'd be willing to bet Peugeot cars are far more reliable than Dodge cars, yet Americans lap Dodge up. Peugeot have come a long way, hence it makes sense for them to try other markets again. Dodge pulled out of the UK years ago as almost noone bought their cars. I'm amazed Jeeps are still sold here, given how poor the build quality is. People like them know and their history carries them.

Ok well PSA is not even here yet and this guy is bashing them. That is the same thing that happened to Fiat. The Fiat 500 and the 124 are not bad cars, I know several people who have these cars and they have been free from problems. This guy hates Nissan, Fiat everything but Toyota and Honda. The way things are going we will have no choice in the auto market but Toyota, Honda and Hyundai.

Peugeot has had substantially above average quality for the last 2x generations of their vehicles at least in Europe, people still go on the notion that they are French and thus break a lot, but that's not the case anymore, they are no Japanese car, but they are more reliable than the rest of the European cars.
