I have a stock stereo so I dont have a RCA port. I found out that a converter is a thing or also called a Line Out Converter. I want to connect it to my rear speakers because I have one subwoofer but I dont want to cut the wire of the rear speakers. What I mean by that is that I dont want to replace my rear speakers with the sub. I want to use both of my rear stock speakers as well as my subwoofer. Can I strip the wire from the rear speaker wire on my stereo and wrap the RCA converter wires to it?

It's so easy to see looking back at these old videos that there is one reason you guys are successful, personality. Like, this video provides no more information than many others already did, but because of the solid announcing and your personalities, it's a hit. That and you were here pretty early, hahaha. That said you do provide a lot of useful tips nobody else does in many of your videos, and you do a good job with editing and music as well. But really, you guys are just stars.

ive used a 4-pin 'speakon' socket and connector to power my amplifier screwed to the sub.
Two pins for high in and two for power. The amplifier did not need a remote cable as it listened to the dc offset of the high in.
Speakon plugs are used for professional audio systems and therefore are very ridgid (german engineered) and can easily carry tens of amps to my experience.

installing a sub is super fun project to do! here is an advice though. if you are going for high quality base and not waking everyone up every time you go somewhere, instead of a sub get a tube. it contains the base within the car much better, at least in my experience. i've got a 150W RMS tube and it sounds like a 500W sub.

on u tube there are people who film there systems. With the really big sound systems would you be able to explain where all the air comes from. There people seating in the car and shirts moving with the air current and on one video they had a shirt stuck to the window flapping about!

a few words of advice for the audience. 8 gauge is for very low power amps say 200-300 rms. Rca's should always run on the opposite side of the vehicle from the power wire to minimize the chance of alternator wine. I will not comment on that Kicker sub only because you got it so cheap.

I just wanted to thank you guys for putting this up, I did a lot of work for my uncle so he would teach me how to install systems like this, but he got mad at me at the last second and told me he wasn't gonna show me. You guys showed me how to do it for free! You guys are awesome! :D

U don't specify where we need to connect the remote wire to boyz, or how n where the In out Out speaker wires should be configured for different amps' specs. Any help would be mad. Liking ur vids, u miss some important steps but keep em comin' fellas. AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!

so you werent very clear on attaching it to the head unit just told me i could be ghetto and do it with a ligher. I would be interested in keeping the original stereo I know the tuning wont be the best but I would like to keep the look. Any help would be awesome.
