I checked rear shocks on my 111K vehicle and pressed on each corner, no extra movement is felt and can't seems stable on the road. The left rear shock has some weepage and the right rear don't seem to. There is a thumping noise heard from right rear side when driving over uneven roads/patches in the pavement. I suspect either rear shock, sway bar links(although in good shape) or sway bar bushings. So could the shock that seem to work good, make thumping noise?

No professional here but these steps helped me:
- Spray all bolts that need removing with Seafoam Deep Creep or some type of penetrating oil and let sit for at least 12hrs!
- Loosen up the top 3 bolts before trying to remove the 2 large bolts below on the strut with a rubber mallet!
This helped me tremendously, hope it helps you all!

Hi guys
I took the strut out and now I line up both the bolts to get new one in. The wheel assembly won't straighten up (up and down. It sounds like the CV joint is hitting against something where it connects to the transmission and the CV boot is stretched out.
Any advice on what to do from here?

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think it should also be noted that a lot of quick struts don't torque the top strut nut properly and it can easily come loose over time, mine did and made horrible noises over bumps. Once tightened, it fixed my problem immediately.

Hey Chris, can you please do a video about how to remove the spring from the old strut, and fit it to the new strut before installation? It is much cheaper to buy the struts without the springs if they are still in good condition.

I think I could probably do this actually. I was going to take my Celica to a garage to replace the shocks. But I tend to do everything myself on my car. But Ive been putting off getting new shocks because of how expensive they are.

I just replaced my front struts on my 06 Mazda 5 today. It was super bouncy and floaty driving down the road. Monroe quick struts as well. Driver side has a clutch reservoir with bracket that much be removed first. Good video!

Little tip. To help get the nuckle off of the suspension, place a flat head screwdriver into the gap at the back of the nuckle where the bolt goes and pull so you hit it. Makes it easier for those tight joints
