It is good to see that you are still reading comments on a 5+ year old video. I am really impressed with your attention to detail which is supported by the video screen shots. But then sometimes I think some things may be too obvious and you don't give them a mention. In this video, there was no mention about the reverse side of the wheel which could be in worse or better shape. Watched your two videos on the 500 Blazer. Mechanically you arrived at great shape, but there was no mention of checking the brakes, changing fluids, front end etc. Also in several of the videos on cleaning you never mention the roof (roof racks, ribs, sun roof. Considering you are a detail person I have to guess you do all this but it just does not get a mention. There is a very good reason you have 7. 3M subs - you are very good at what you do and it is all done with a cheerful outlook.

All good, good job. However, do you allow an observation? Another time, before doing the job, remember to remove the lead counterweight for wheel balancing (and then, either you know how to hang up or unfortunately you will have to have the wheels rebalanced by the tire dealer who'll apply another one, because when you go to replace the tires (sooner or later you will have to do it, that position there of the device will certainly no longer be correct and in its place, on the rim there will be an unpainted stain. For the rest, congratulations.

At the next wheel change (summer-winter) the wheel weight will be removed and the mechanic will put up another weight to an another section. And your super paint job will seems funny.
Of course on the inner side there are rust and dust too. But if you want to do half job, why dont you paint overt the rust with a proper fixing paint like the hammerite?

Dont come at me if this is crazy. But I have a dually shuttle bus that the tires are horrible to get off of. Would it be possible to paint them while they are still on the bus?

Great video, i'm going to do my travel trailer wheels next weekend after watching this. They are basic white but a little rust is starting to show, especially on the spare!

One question: do I have to use fine sand paper after spraying the primer to make the painting stick better? I didnt see him doing this on this video but I saw on others.

If ur gunna primer bare mettle u CANT use just regular primer like u did. U gotta use selfe etching primer first followed by regular primer. If u dont nothing will stick

Tire shine gel is a horrible horrible horrible idea its gunna contaminate ur paint if u get a little paint overspray on ur tire it will wipe off easy eith laquer thinner

If ur gunna prime it u can sand with 180 primer covers 180 scratches easily. If ur gunna paint then u can stop at 400 no need to use 600 then 1000 thats overkill.
