I have unplug my egr valve and it work fine on acceleration but I took it off to clean it and now it's sputtering at high speeds again that's why I unplug it and my high speeds came back but I have a new one still no high speed like at 45 mph it's like the car is running out of gas but a full tank I Need Help (03 chevy malibu)

Noob question: when someone says the engine is running lean, do they mean it's showing a lean condition and is trying to correct with more fuel, or that it's trying to run leaner (due to rich condition? And how does that correspond to the +/- fuel trim numbers in OBD?

Can't convince me the egr makes your engine run better. The intake sucking in exhaust even sounds dumb.
There may be combustible vapors left over in your exhaust but there is no oxygen which explains it running cooler.
Do an egr delete video!

I replaced my spark plugs and EGR valve cleaned the housing on 2005 Honda odyssey and checked coils check engine line was still on. did not drive 100 miles yet. so I disconnected battery to reset hope it does not come back.

clean the valve and reset to erase the code and traveled 500 miles and the computer does not finish the diagnosis to know if it still fails or the problem is fixed, any advice please. Nissan Altima 2001

Egr's generally don't make engines run better, its all about knox controll, its why all performance engines don't have egr valves operation, it impedes engine performance.

If the part came with a replacement gasket why NOT just use it? lmao Unless its a paid to put on or take off, I dont see the logical reasoning. Too each their own I guess.
