Pick your winner: do you think the latest Audi RS3 is the best compact sports hatch around Its 2. 5-litre five cylinder engine and relatively tail happy 4wd system says that it might be. And yes, of course we use the word warble’ about the engine. It’s the law. Or do you think that the BMW M2 in this uprated, angrier CS form is the compact hatch to have. It has a straight-six cylinder engine making a whopping amount of power and is rear-drive, so ought to have a beautiful natural handling balance. But it’s heavier than the Audi, and the track the M Sport test track in Cumbria is greasy. So which is it to be Secure all-wheel drive goodness, front-engine rear-drive hoonability, or are there some surprises on the way Join your host, Matt Prior, as he tries the two hottest small(ish) new sports cars on the market. And for more information on both of these cars, and all of their rivals, join us at autocar. co. uk.

Not watched yet but this isn’t a fair comparison. I expect the M2 CS to be better in every single way but that’s to be expected considering the price difference. For daily use, the RS3 is the better option. The way I see it is the M2 CS is for someone that owns another car as the daily driver, the RS3 is a car that you buy if you don’t have a second car.

Here for me on the looks side, the BMW M2 is a clear winner, proper German muscle car with its stance and profile, but powertrain-wise I would actually go for Audi RS3, I think that Audi sports division now perfected that platform and made the perfect super hatch; )

Seems like, it would have been wiser to wait for the RS3 GT, which is just around the corner, and compare apples to apples.
Also, filming at M-Sports headquarters demands a bias, I guess.

Back in my day, a sports car had pop up headlights, two doors, and a fastback. To me, this looks like a competition between a station wagon and an executive coupe. What happened to design

audi have been doing the big front wheels for years now. Nothing new. They suffer from under steer. Those that know Audis, know this. Hence the wider front wheels. GO LOOK AT UR AUDIS

I like the annotations cuts down the amount of talking and length of video.
BMW should feel lighter because of 50: 50 balance, whilst Audi is likely 60: 40.

This was a pointless video - barely a review of each car and the conclusion is laughable and both cars behave as they have been for nearly the last 10 years

lol that 2 series is $100, 000 that’s a super expensive 2 series! But that isn’t expensive to you It’s the $66, 000 a3 that stands out to you
