Hopefully someone can help. i got to the end stage and decided to order a new cluster lens as mine qas already cracked. So i left everything as is and waited a few weeks for shipping. Get everything plugged up and car wont start. Lights turn on thats fine. Well when i was getting ready to leave there was rapid clicking underneath the dash. any idea what that is? Sounds like a relay constantly engaging. Much quieter than a starter trying to turn over but that rapid.

I own a 2000 ford ranger and I had changed 3 bulbs in the dashboard and the two on the ac 5 total.
So I had no experience and the mechanics and dealerships will charge a fortune to do it, i decided to do it myself, it took me almost 6 hours to do it, but I did it with out breaking anything. I spent 24 dollars for the bulbs and it was done.

WOW! I'm 73 and have to Google/Youtube everything! This was by Far the most Professional Video I have ever seen put on Youtube! I was actually looking for how to replace the Bulbs with LED's in my 1967 Chevelle and accidently came across this Video and watched all of it because of Chris' Calm and Professional Manner and Demeanor! Way to go Young Man!

I now have a 2003 Ford Taurus SES with the dashboard Lights out. The warning lights work, but I can't see how fast I'm driving at night. Are The Bulbs in my Ford the same size? 194's Oh and will my whole dash need to come out like in your video or just the dashboard where the lights are?

And before you do any of this, you should absolutely buy one of those ashtray-sized steel mini-bowls that magnetically hold all the screws you remove so they're not all rolling everygoddamnwhere and laughing at you with sadistic glee as they cause you a ragestroke

Why not LED?
Ah man, I really want to change mine to LED, but it looks like a lots of work, maybe when one goes out!
Q, what if I use multiple colors, like red for all, except gears indicators, is that possible or they bleed?

I have to replace a the fan and radio panel too, so taking all these bits apart make sense. Don't know why they don't just make an access inside the hood.
