Wheel bearing hub replacement. Learn how to replace a wheel bearing hub assembly. You do not need to press this bearing in. You can use common hand tools to install it. This video shows a wheel bearing replacement for a Pontiac G8, but it will be similar for most cars and trucks that use hub bearing assemblies. I got a quote of 750 to replace one wheel bearing so doing this yourself saves you a ton of money! How to tell if your wheel bearing is bad

Ah just seen this. Couldnt get mine off. Hav just ordered some bolts and threaded bolt extensions. My plan is to pop em in bolt fully in extension and wrench at the bolt to pry it from the backing plate. Had to pop it back on tho till then. Any luck with that method? Hub making an intermittent squeek at specific a rotation?

Hey Chris I got a G8 I noticed that one wheel lug nuts were loose I thought that was the cause of my steering wheel shaking but I torque everything down and it still shakes the tires have been balanced still have the shake around 60 miles an hour I don't understand

However, a loose spindle nut will cause a similar effect. Just dealt with that. Some hubs are entirely press in. There is no removable assembly. There are videos showing you how to work on those also.

Is that the only clip holding the abs wheel speed sensor how would you have to remove the three bolts out or could you just pray the abs wheel speed sensor out with a flathead?
reply

Why did you NOT use a wire brush to clean the threads of the screws that hold the hub instead of running the risk of damaging the threads with the screwdriver?
